South Texas non-active edibles?

I'm looking for non-active South Texas edibles, I grabbed these in a yard before the lawn guys mowed them down. Both have fungus gnat larvae, so I'm not interested in eating these particular finds. This pair is about 3" tall and had a strong, but pleasant aroma of fresh mushrooms. Cap is slightly slimy to the touch. The stipe is hollow and semi delicate. The gills look to be 3 tiered. I was unable to obtain a good spore print, as massive amounts of maggots (edible?) went everywhere when I removed one of the caps. No apparent bruising when damaged.

I'm not as interested in this one here, but more of whatever was growing on and around it. It looked like exposed Mycelium to me so I decided not to disturb it.

Thanks in advance guys I always appreciate y'alls input.

A Lactarius species, which one I don't know.
Did you observer any latex ooze from it when damaged? If you still have them, and they're fresh, try to take a taste of the latex and see how it tastes, just don't swallow it.

Didn't seem to have any sort of ooze or anything like that. I waited for any signs of bruising, but I removed them rather quickly after the maggot attack, had them on my shirt, hands, and arms. The caps were almost funnel like.

Are there any Lactarious species that aren't milky?

Your one is milky. In the first picture there is white milk and possibly orange or brown staining on the gills.

I see what you mean, I went out and took a second look at what I threw out, the bruising was more apparent. I think I tossed them too quickly. Those maggots though >.< Anyways I really appreciate the ID guys, definitely set me in the right direction because I had no idea.
