Not positive if I posted in the right place, anyways I haven't found anything about it anywhere, and I'm asking anyone to share their knowledge on this. I've eaten and successfully tripped on psilocybin numerous times. Now when I smoke cannabis, it's a different high. It's more psychadelic than it was prior to mushroom usage. Although it's not bad cause I can smoke 1/4 of what I used to and get just as high. But it seems more psychedelic in a psilocybin sense. Has this happened to anyone else on here? What do you think could cause this? Do you also think since it affects thc it affects the neurotransmitter anandamide?

I think it's that your expectation of an experience would come out with a more psychedelic effect due to your brains change in effect from the psilocybin. This is a similar case with me, I used to smoke a lot, but after using psychedelics my expectation of the high from the cannabis has changed, it hits me a lot harder than it used to.

To a certain extent that makes sense. But before the use of psilocybin I was a very heavy cannabis user and knew how it was going to effect me each time. After using mushrooms, I had the same expectation of how cannabis was going to effect me due to the heavy prior use. Many times using cannabis after the experience with shrooms, I had the same expectation from what it used to be. with psilocybin effecting the serotonin transmitters as well as others, while canna is effect the neurotransmitter anandamide inside the endocannaboid systems. From my standpoint I firmly believe that somehow in the brain there is some sort of correlation or chemical change that psilocin caused possibly the way the thc molecule fits into a receptor or maybe even changed the makeup of anandamide and its receptors somehow. Don't get me wrong I will still continue to use the wonderful drug psilocybin and soon dimethytryptamine, it just makes me very curious.

This would be better in The Psychedelic Experience.
Yeah. It changed for me too. It changed so much that I don't really enjoy cannabis any more, and I rarely smoke it.

Yeah i feel you on that. The shroomey feeling goes away after i build up my tolerance though which is weird. But with no tolerance it's so disorienting it's hardly enjoyable anymore which sucks.
I even wrote a paper about it for my psych 1101 class and had a chat with the professor about it. I have some theories but he couldn't figure out why since they dont really directly effect the same receptors in the brain.
The whole thing is just very odd
