For me weed doesn't make my anxiety go away. It just makes it easier to dismiss because I'm stoned as fuck

RC's have little to no research often times though and seem even riskier.
Mushrooms are medicinal as is ayahuasca, they both benefit the brain.
We have no way of knowing if RC's will have positive and or negative health effects...

Pharmacologically speaking, the serotonergic and adrenergic mechanisms of action are pretty similar across hallucinogens for the most part, and the therapeutic value like comes from there. People suferring from depression have been shown to have an over abundance of 5ht2a receptors, and most of these hallucinogens are partial agonists, and work to decrease the expression of or downregulate these receptors. Stimulation of certain norepinephrine circuits in the locus coeruleus may help to stimulate sensations of 'novelty' and in doing so may be therapeutic by making the sessions more meaningful (the latter part of this is more speculative)

Yeah but they have drastically different effects on the mind and body even if most have some things in common. Dox and Nbomes come to mind.
I am sure many RC's will be found to have different unique medicinal effects down the line but for now I don't think anything can replace mushrooms or aya.
Maybe 4 aco or something is close but even then without researching showing it has the same benefits we have no way of knowing for sure.
And we have no way of knowing what downsides they may have aside from the obvious issues that quickly become apparent (Dox and Nbomes once again )

The difference between:
to THIS
is literally 1 draft off a joint and 10 minutes away.
Cannabis gives me an instant angina pectoris attack and thois triggers an all out panic attack caused by the traumatic experience of habing had an early age heart attack at 30.
So cannabis "helps" my anxiety most. It causes it more than anything will.
Flip those around for me, I'm the exact polar opposite. I don't really get "panic attacks" per se but I can get really on the edge sometimes and a couple tokes is all it takes to completely mellow me down and completely change my mindset. It's the best medicine I have ever found. I literally cannot even comprehend anxiety or anger when I am baked. It just melts away.
Different strokes for different folks and stuff.

I'd appreciate any ideas! Anything from lifestyle practices to supplementation is welcomed.
Sobriety, exercise, and a good diet. Remember your vitamins. Seriously. Don't get caught up in some self medication cycle while your chemical imbalances slowly get worse and worse.

Yea, I can relate. When I was young, smoking melted every imaginable problem and amount of stress away and turned it into something inconceivable. Then I took a long break in college, like three year break from smoking to get my degree. Now, I can still enjoy smoking, just not like I used to. My tolerance is so low now and for some reason just a couple tokes too much is just that, too much. I become very anxious and irritable. Its all good though, it is what it is. Quite interesting tho, when I was younger, smoking would never make me anxious, no matter how much I smoked and smoked and smoked and smoked.....

Never heard of it.
And to all those who have recommended exercise, diet, and meditation. I couldn't agree more. These are ll things I try to incorporate into my life, but know I could do better and use more of. I personally agree that even natural entheogens can throw your system out of wack. I only use such substances as tools on carefully planned occasions, but when I do, it has always been a highly beneficial/therapeutic experience.
