Anyone ever work Amazon call center at home?

My wife is looking to supplement her Etsy work with this work from home Amazon call center. Her aunt does it and supposedly clears almost 15 an hour.
To me it screams scam and personally we would probably make more if she came picking mushrooms but w/e.
"Your main job will be solving problems and answering questions during the spike in customer needs through the holiday season (ends Feb 1st)."
All you need is a stable Internet connection and windows 10. They send the headset and hiring paperwork and whatever. Requires a referral (her aunt) and she's done 2+ years call center work. Basically just looking to pull the trigger and get this going so she has something to do.
Anyone ever do this?

Sounds legit to me. After all, her aunt is recommending it. It's not you're responding to some email or something.

With a real life recommendation it is. If you get solicited by a random email, however, approach with extreme caution.

Those were my first thoughts.. the only real catch I can see is her being an independent contractor - which I assume it is - and we can itemize anything we need on our taxes. I already have my own donation stuff this year to write off, church tithings, clothing and blanket and home good donations and all.
I talked to her aunt and it all seems to check out, but it just sounds too good to be true.
Almost 15 an hour sitting at home, then she can do her sewing and bag making stuff, I don't see what she's got to lose, really.
The amount of horror stories from work at home places just makes me wonder. I've heard of people working these kinds of jobs not getting paid and other things like that. But maybe that's changed?

Was she solicited or how did she find out about it?
It sounds like it sure beats commuting to a real call center and paying taxes on it.

If it's really Amazon it's legit. Sounds like a temp position so most likely contractor work so she might have to 1099 it. $15/hr isn't too bad but cust service sucks ass. It's probably easy shit though like reading off a script.

I've known people who've done various "at home" "call center" things. It's a decent job, but nothing special. Essentially, when you're on shift customers might call you at any time, and you never know when or how complicated their issues will be etc. So most of the time it's a lot of waiting, but you can't actually do anything in that time because the moment someone calls you'll have to drop everything and mute everything and so on.
You have to like talking on the phone a lot, and explaining complicated things to really really stupid people has to be acceptable.

This topic reminds me of the painful experience I had today. FUCK Intelcom courier.
I ordered something off of amazon, and the mother fuck-face txts me and is like" Hello, blah blah"; you home?
I'm like NO.
Could you please not leave my parcel outside, because someone will steal it.
He says Sorry, already left resisdence...
THE FUCK U MEAN, YOU CANT TURN AROUND???
I live in an appartment, and this guy just leaves this shit outside the building and it's like 130 pm and i won't be home from work till like 6pm.
Bullshit man.
Is this standard proccedure or something? That shits crazy
