Cloning question.

So I have been playing around with PDA, My 1st attempt I did not dilute the potato emulsion correctly.
I ended up with Pins on a spore culture I have not run yet, What would the implications be on cloning a tiny pin. Would they become bigger in a monotub?
Keen to have a chat around pinning and cloning on PDA, then moving to bulk..

Might as well.

Not necessary, but would put out more desirable, fast growing fruits in the end. Clone from the inside of the stem to a new plate, goodluck!

Just lobp off the new pins to new plates of agar. Then cut the new myc cells they produce to new plates. All clean. Let mass production began

One of my favorite clones came from an invitro agar pin, just cut and drop whole pin onto a new plate. You want to use one that hasn't dropped spores.

Here's a photo of a tiny PESA pin dropped onto a plate
You have to test every clone you take, and especially dont forget to test potency!
When you clone from a pin you usually get very vigorous growth.
When choosing more mature fruits to choose from I usually clone from big clusters.
Cloning from a bg fruit doesn't necessarily mean you will grow big mushrooms, but if youre after big mushrooms try to find ones that were big in the first flush

Sorry a late reply lads, life has been eventful.
Thank you for all the responses, I appreciate the feedback.
@X2QE, not sure maybe 2 weeks the overdose of nutes prompted the pins.
I have done as mentioned and chucked a pin onto some PDA, I am very happy with what I see.
I found it very interesting, It could be due to the moisture from the condensation on the PDA. The pin had no signs of being close to producing spores in the next week. However the mushroom continued to grow and opened up...Anyone seen this before?
Sorry the pic is as good as I can get it without exposing the PDA.

Did you cut the pin off or cut the agar around the pin

That can happen. I have had pins latch onto the agar without the cap portion reverting to mycelium and continuing to grow. It happens.
