Grass loving mushrooms?
    #23641627 - 09/13/16 01:28 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Hello! I haven't posted lately. Down to business. These next 5 caps were all found in the vicinity of each other: in a clearing near the edge of a forest on the northern-most border if Illinois and Indiana.

A: crayon brown print and weak stipe (therefore not Mariasmus oreades).
[Sorry in advance for brief descriptions; I collected many caps that day]

B:...

Actually my records seem to have mixed up so I don't know which spore print belongs to which (rookie mistake I know..) Sorry! The prints are varying shades of brown

C:

Print is either brown or white. I don't know because maggots ate the cap and left a stain during printing process.

D:
This one is the largest. Dark brown print, almost black in the more concentrated parts

E:
Oh wait that's it..
Thanks!

A is an Inocybe sp.

B looks like a Psathyrella sp.

C is a lepiotioid species, perhaps Lepiota sp. The print is probably white.

D also looks like a Psathyrella sp. Print color sounds right, and should be similar to that from B.
