I'm about to pay 60 bucks for a cab, and I am not happy about it.

Do you even tip for a 60 dollar one way cab ride?
Like is this going to be a 70 dollar ride?
This is going to be the first and hopefully the last time I have to do this, but I get off house arrest in 6 days and can't be late now, I have made it so far.....but my work changed my schedule and fucked my ride situation up.
Getting a car the day I get off house arrest.
The struggle is real.

I had to pay over 100 for a cab ride a couple of times. I never bothered to tip for them. Don't care if I was supposed to or not. He didn't have to do anything but drive me to my destination and paying that much for a simple ride is already pretty absurd.

Well, in the time it's taken him to drive you 60 dollars worth of miles, he could've brought six people on 10 dollar rides and gotten some tips out of it, and wouldn't have to wonder for 60 dollars worth of miles whether the passenger would tip well or at all, and could have had six shorter 10 dollar rides where he won't be depending on one single tip.

And I'm sure 6 people would have called him within the time frame of a 30 minute drive at 730 am. This isn't a big city I live in BFE, no one uses cabs out here.
There's not even uber out here, of lyft or any of that shit.

Only time I didn't tip during a cab ride was when I was in a cab, and the ticker said $50. Dude was trying to charge us $80 and arguing about it (in a thick foreign accent, like he was haggling with us...). Eventually gave him 80, took a picture of the ticker and reported it to the company which issued a refund for the whole ride. Dude was bullshitting us hard.

This guy bs'es me too. He gets so much business kicked down from me from the hotel I work at and he still charged me 2 bucks a mile, and their normal right is 1.50.
After taxes I made about 20 bucks on an 8 hour shift tonight.
I need a car so bad. Life is absolutely beating the living fuck out of me so bad.

Once I paid $80 in Los Angeles to go like 9 miles. It was rush hour and anybody who knows LA will tell you that you're almost better off fucking walking than getting into a car during rush hour.
That meter just kept going and going.
Thankfully it was a business expense and the company that I worked for at the time footed the bill.

The trick is to give the taxi driver an address 10 blocks further than you plan on going
when you make it to your true destination you tuck-and-roll out of the vehicle into safety
make sure you present the middle finger as you're tumbling away from the over priced taxi

when i left jail, i had a $130 cab ride, as the nearest town was ~45 miles away. i gave her a tip. she gave it back to me; said i'd been through enough and would need every dollar i had.

Stay positive man. You're so close!!! You got this. If I were you, I'd just say fuck it and give that last remaining 20 to the cab driver. I promise you will receive that gift back in some form.

I have kept this job for a 14 months now some days actually paying just to work, and losing money on it.
