Anybody who is into doing anything other than celibacy or having heterosexual married missionary sex is a depraved pervert.

yeah. Judaism tends to be a lot less uptight than other religions when it comes to sex.

I and many, many others, do not mind at all.
uhhhh saying "no one want these people in the world" is crazy. I stated I PERSONALLY wouldn't want to hookup with one, and i don't think i have a real understanding on the topic (psychological v. biological/etc), but i don't care if they're in the world. If they aren't hurting anyone physically who cares what you do, but it also doesn't mean people have to associate with that person/ones beliefs.
exactly!
Best change it then. 'Most people dislike them, and do not want them in the world.'
I didn't say I had a problem with it, but think about this...the world would be a less messed up place without them.
The fact it is affecting children and teens should be enough to see how messed up it is.

People have told me the same thing about being "a faggot." The problem with society is that it tries to define normalcy. There are things we just don't want to have to teach our children, because its complicated or we don't understand it ourselves. It doesn't fit those well defined lines. Eh. Don't have kids if you can't admit you're not God.

It's a modern problem. When has transsexualism ever been seen in the past?
'The 1950s and 1960s saw some of the first transgender organizations and publications, but law and medicine did not respond favorably to growing awareness of transgender people.'

I like reading about how people work, the mind fascinates me. With that said, I sometimes find myself thinking if some people that hop on board the trans train are truly trans, or if they're just saying they are to be cool.
I understand that as things become more accepted by the masses, that more people are going to come out of the trans closet, but I still can't help but think some people are doing all of this just to be edgy.
What's the consensus on that view point?
I bet the majority of people would screw around with the same sex/trans people if they knew they could get away with it without anyone finding out and trying to besmirch their name.
I was watching the new X-Men movie last night, and I don't find Jennifer Lawrence that attractive, but when she was in her blue form I wanted to smash, but when she was just normal old J-law, I was not attracted. This led me to think that we like things which are different, which is where many fetishes come from, sometimes the act of doing something sexual with someone so different than yourself, falls in that so wrong it's right category, and can be very stimulating.
I hope aliens invade in the future, and they're hot, so I can fuck some alien chicks.

It's true, people want difference, but like many other things it has become common. I don't understand why people want to change their sex. The only reason I can think of is because they are gay/lesbian. Because at the end of the day, a male transsexual with tits is going to be banging some dude, that doesn't make them straight. Vice versa for women.

Eh. I have known more than a few transgender women. I doubted my own gender for a little while (long story.) and I believe it's true. Some people think they're trans because they're more feminine or masculine than their gender is 'supposed' to be. The whole gender roles thing is a bitch and while we as a society are trying to grow out of it, we're simply not yet. Alot of "true" transgender people try really hard to match the gender they transition to when thhat isn't really them. I feel awfully bad for these people. They're just trying to find a place to fit when the reality is they never really will fit into one box or the other.
I have a few theories on why there are so many transgender people. The main reason is simply because its more accepted.
Shit I know it barely compares but I remember talking to my friends as we were hitting puberty and they explained to me what being gay was. I was like wait what ? You can actually do that??? Generally the awareness in even being able to transition I think is a big thing pushing it.
I have a host of theories on why people consider it. Since I did myself at one point. Some from a medical standpoint some spiritual and some psychological. I'll post them out soon, but I'll make a new thread, possibly outside the pub. This place is probably a bit too silly.

When it comes to gender roles, I see the devastating effects that religion has had on my families views on the subject. Most of my family are Christians, with the other half being messianic Jewish converts, so Abrahamic religions are prevalent throughout my family.
For them anything with deviates from the man/woman relationship, is considered a sin, and I am the only one in my family that doesn't mock gay people, if others in my family are accepting of peoples choices in life, I have never heard about it, my bro might be cool, but haven't really talked with him on the matter.
Also, you were saying CookieCrumbs that the pub can be a bit silly, that's all the more reason to post thought provoking material here.

Yes people think there trans because they are more feminine/masculine than expected. But I said before, men and women have both sexes traits and hormones. In reality the only difference is genitals. Many societies have recognized men and women as equal in the past, accepting them as the same body. Post the thread link when you set it up cheers

I think that in order to be a "whole" human being, you must embrace your masculine and feminine traits, rather than trying to focus all on one side or the other, and becoming hyper masculine, or hyper feminine.

Maybe it seems like people are "jumping on the bandwagon" and transsexuals are "influencing children and teens" but it may be that due to a combination of the net, advances in medical procedures, and people in the spotlight transitioning that people are realizing that they can change their outer layer easier than before. The people that are in the position of feeling/being different are getting the help they need more than in the past. They see they can finally get the help they need to feel complete/better. I do not think it is influencing people to do it more because it is "trendy" or "cool".
It is just out there more because of the connected-ness of the net. Granted there may be a very small % of people that will be influenced, but that can apply to anything just about really. I see that it frightens, bewilders, sickens, and upsets you. Maybe you should look into that and stop trying to just squash anything you don't understand, or care to even try to understand.
