Where is your home? I've kind of lost the definition of what that is. Alaska is my home. But it doesn't feel like that as things have changed. Spent 3 years in Washington and is where the majority of blood relations are but I didn't meet any of them until I was 20.

Now in Montana. I've been sad and found myself saying I just want to go home. Then I'll think on it. Where is that? If a good friend asked me tomorrow hey want to move to the east coast. Or any state I haven't been. I'd be on a grey hound that weekend. Which is how I ended up in Mt.

Sell anything of value that won't fit in a backpack and suitcase. I've now amassed more than I've had in quite some time as summers here are good. But is this where I want to establish my home. I'm not sure. I'll be 26 in January. I'm not going to be young and cute forever.

I'm more or less rambling. As its been something I've recently been struggling with. But what is your definition of home?

Butte is great. There is work here. If you can read a tape you can work. In the course of the summer I went from 10-25+ an hour. Doing all sorts of things. Land surveyor, truss builder, and free Lance contract work.

Ive never been a construction worker. Always worked in restaurants talking pretty girls out of there money. Easy. But now that I have a vague idea of what this area is about fuck. I'm even a spray painter. I hate how small this town is. But I've never had this many opportunities.

It's compounding skills. I have 20 different things to add to a resume. It just makes more sense to stay here. As Alaska is no longer my home nor Washington. I don't really know anymore.

I struggled with that for years.

Never feeling like I was meant to be where I was.

I finally feel more at home now than I have in a long time.    Especially if I lived in a different house without these landlords.

My life will be changing in about two months and I will be transitioning into that chapter.

It is very exciting.

But OP, now that you are becoming more aware of this, I believe things will come your way to settle you on your path to where you belong.

Just be open to new opportunities and you will find home.

Home is where you make it.

Your longing for home is another man's longing for the freedom to not have one.

I have children, children's schools and friends and extracurricular life....I have my good job, with a good pension and benefits to pay for it all.  I have my immediate family here. And I can say that I'm pretty much tied here for a good chunk of time.  In many ways it's a very uncomfortable feeling to know I don't really have a choice...that I'm enslaved here in some sense

Eh, I've lived all over and don't rightly have a home.

Thought I had one at one point, was tying into a good girl, career and all that, but it didn't work out.
I'll probably either wind up in California or Colorado.

Really though, its just a matter of picking and settling in.

Ya that's one thing I am glad to not have. Is children I don't have much responsibility which just lets me up and move on a whim. Plus I don't need much. As long as I have a warm place to sleep I'm pretty much OK with that.
