Mycelium balls?
    #23635820 - 09/11/16 01:38 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

I'm reposting here after posting in the contamination forum.  I don't think it's contaminated as its been like this for a little over 2 days and has stayed white also the cake still smells like fresh mushrooms, the rest of the cake is developing these little balls, any experienced growers know exactly what this is?

Actually it looks more like a reaction to bacteria to me.  Mycelium puffballs tend to form in the presence of bacteria.

Hyphal knots are like a millimeter wide.

I can't really tell how wide they are it's a pretty blurry pic....makes sense my first grow started getting the puffy balls going into the 3rd flush.....I do know what you mean....shortly after that my cakes started to break down...

Lol, it's a cake.  There's no reason to toss this.  It'll still likely flush.    Look at every pic in my sig for examples of bacterial subs or cakes that flushed, and flushed well for being what they were.    Just give it plenty of FAE and be on the lookout for molds.  That's all.

I was going to suggest isolating it and still fruiting...I've got some huge pink Buffalo off of bacterial sub trays

No contamination these were just little mushroom balls or hyphal knots
