Still no dice in Vancouver as far as I can tell. Although I've never found something earlier than about halfway through October.
One my classes this year is about biotic pathogens so we spend a lot of labs out in parks looking at trees being eaten up by fungi, good chance to have quick look arounds.

So happy to see that things are kicking off a bit early for some of yall.
Just wondering - have any of you had luck in finding naturals in the Seattle area thus far? Or should I expect to wait a couple weeks for temperatures to cool down? I feel like our summer was pretty dry/still hasn't been raining enough
Went for a walk through a city park in the Rainier Valley region yesterday started seeing patches that looked like cyans @ first glance (sadly 90% sure they weren't) popping up in the wood chip/bark beds that seemed more moist. All the other beds were dry and shroomless.
Sorry if this kinda post is directed at the wrong thread - I've been inactive for the last couple of years/had to start new account. Please feel free to redirect me!
Regardless, looking forward to keeping an eye on this thread!!!
Edit: Just read the rules. my b guys lol

Got lucky today. Not only did I find some cyanescens, but I found a shroomerite, too. Then he found a hidden patch! Check out the spider in this first one.

Pretty funny! Multitasker you are. Hey what are you doing by that pile of would chips over there? Ah ah nothing prof. be there in a minute.
BTW, you guys realize some of those spots look too perfect and managed. What are the chances of stumbling onto someone else's work? Good I expect unless you are in the boonies.

But I guess the mushies came looking for me.....I found some very strange mushrooms in my sister's yard but it has been so dry that it was hard to get a good ID. Some suggestions have been made that they are cyanofibrillosa on my ID thread....I will update when I get some fresh ones. These ones are dried and beat up. Just wanted to be on the board.

Man those are weird.

From my experience. If A tended too project, is in plain, public view. It was Intended to be discovered. The boonies is were you would find a tended too project someone is growing for them selves. Tip For those new to the game. Ps cyanescens prefer areas tended too and maintained by man. So thats were they are found. Also, Thinking that an area your in means the conditions are the same all across the whole PNW or even your exact location Is a pretty narrow minded thought. This post was intended for general info only and not directed at anyone in specific. Take it or leave it.

So glad fall is here, good stuff already from everyone...i'm hoping to see something pop up in my spore spot soon or even this year, but at least there's the wild ones coming... ...my homemade spot has gots some chips, sand, dune grass and regular grasses, cones and needles all along the creek...started watering here and there the past few weeks...

Hoping they are fibs. No annulus. I got to them after they had been thrashed. I told my brother in law to tell me before he mows his lawn next time. And I will take better pics next time too.

Not too much going on yet where I'm at BUT I did find a few early risers in my ultra-secret forest patch where it's a bit cooler...

A lotta baby pins but no pics 'cause I didn't want to crush the little guys...
