I carefully moved a patch I started I did at my townhome we were renting when I moved this summer to our house. It was doing great then a deer or something had a fucking seizure on it kicking a 4 foot long patch all over the place. didn't get one fruit from it lol. Do you guys think I'll piss off the mushroom gods if I move a patch of mine 14 feet to the left so I can build a greenhouse for growing gourmet mushrooms? I kinda feel like they might be ok with that aha

Great job on your first find!

....don't tell people what to do

I'm confused, this statement seems as counterproductive as trying to dig up and move a patch...

So I tried out the batch I picked just recently..

Ended up taking 5g fresh, which I thought would be like .5g dry, but actually closer to 1g since these things were pretty dry when I picked em

Ate 4 medium sized fruits on a matzo cracker with peanut butter.  I could honestly not taste the mushrooms at all.

The main effects came on in 30 mins.  I found this trip to be very heavy on the body and mind, light on the fun visual stuff.  There was no nausea, but just feelings of tightness in the chest. Lots of whole-body shroom yawns.  And drowsiness.  I walked around outside for 30 mins but felt the urge to come inside and lie back in a chair and listen to music.  Effects lasted a bit over 4 hours, slightly longer than I'm used to w/ cubes.

All in all it was a nice experience, but more physical and lethargic than I was expecting. These babies are definitely potent.  I'm curious how the experience with dried fruits will stack up.

If anyone is making beds, doing stem butts to cardboard/chips, making planters, slurrying spots, reinvigorating patches, or even just starting from spore - and you find yourself stuck - feel free to send me a message and I'll see if I can get you access to a woodlover cultivation journal. If you find yourself stuck on how to landscape projects or whatever, maybe we can help.. just send a message with "Woodlovers" as the title so I don't lose it on accident.

Keep up the good work guys.

How are those pellies doing, N05482? They make it? You still hitting up those two lighthouses? I only made it there two more times and got a little over an ounce each time, but with the drive I got.. oof.. just makes me glad I can stop other places all the way down 101 on my way home. I hope it treated you and HH well this year.

Appreciate it Adden, I inoculated 6 spawn jars of P. Cyanescens today and will be spreading them in about a month.

Already spread quite a bit of P. Ovoideocystidiata about two months ago and a few jars of P. Azurescens spawn a couple weeks ago.

Im most excited to see if the azurescens fruit next fall but I'm waiting patiently for all the rest aswell.

Ill post some pictures this coming spring and fall season.

Good luck fellow woodlover Lovers! See you all then.

People missed a lot of these cyans. At first glance they look like they're growing out of these stumps and logs because of the plant cover. Right next to a big cyan patch. LocN9ne pulled one about the size of his forearm about 6 weeks ago. (To be fair I scouted and left some big ones for him cuz it was his first time out haha). It's in between two different pheno & same substrate azure patches. They like the pieces of wood and nooks and crannies but can hide very well in ferns.

Someone missed a couple on the flat open ground. Like a side of the cap never fruited and turned in on itself, and the stem traveled alongside the stick in the moss. It looked kind of like a wedge of very fresh rubbery turkey tail, with three circular lines along the cap. Kind of like curl your index finger and thumb into a "C" and it's what a lot looked like until picked. It wasn't until I uncovered it that I found it was a cyan, and got a big beefy stem. A lot of them in this part were all weird, like little wedges sitting next to sticks. But they didn't grow any other way, and all the stems had to be gently pulled from the moss from either a stick or log.

I guess this kind of habitat but flatter, more moss on top of the mat, a bit more sandy, with fewer plants and not exactly soil just all things detritus, with more sticks/twigs all over the place from broken sedge and scotchbroom. They all grew horizontal and all had weird messy caps with tan spores. So cool.

One picker either ignores these or thinks they're something else or is blind idk. I always find retarded cyans left unpicked.

In the fifth pic, right side of frame under log right next to the green leaves growing from under, I spy another cap.

What is that? Olive viscous cap. Ovoid or bao?

Heh good eye, but unfortunately it was just a wet piece of poo. I side-stepped the pile and my foot hit this piece of wood, dislodging the bark in the process. I thought it was another mushroom so I poked it with a stick and it was poo.

If it was a cap, I'd say ovoid or baeo, if it was in another environment. Interestingly enough, I did find a lot of olive aborts in the past two weeks. All in this one spot with gravel and rocks. You've gotta have a nice eye or get real close to see them. They don't grow very tall, and have azure stems. But when they dry they turn beige and leave almost like a tree ring of blue.

Not seeing the same thing (maybe we are), enlarge it. It's a perfect circle. A few cm from right edge beneath the log all tucked in. Next to what appears to be an old squared cut plank edge for lack of a better description.

We are looking at the same thing. It's a piece of poo. I was there ; ) It tricked me, too. Glad I poked it first. Maybe the camera doesn't pick it up well enough, but I do see how it looks like a fresh cap coming up. Kinda. To me it looks like a piece of the wet pellet poo less than two feet away that tumbled down this slope. That, and when poked, was clearly feces on a game trail.

I wish man.. it's 17 there right now and treacherous highways through the mountains to get out of the valley. Last picture was from a few weeks ago. Just an example of the weird ones these people always leave behind. Stems are like a pencil. Sometimes I'll grab one with my arm in the grass and it feels like I'm grabbing dune grass. These things are solid. Very hard and ready to snap even when maturing. I think I've mentioned it before, but it's cool to see the ants eat the caps of cyans. They leave behind these little blue sticks. I guess the stem is too tough for them. You wouldn't know unless you looked, but these white/blue/brown stems stick out of the dirt around them and are potent as balls. When the ants go to sleep, they flourish. It is amazing to see. I keep my "ant sticks" in my head stash because it hardly takes any.

Nice day out on the coast. Awesome day hiking just disappearing like sand in the brush tripping balls. The translucent ones tasted like how your tongue does a moment after you catch a snowflake. Got hunted by a pack of coyotes on my way out. Birds are basically gone.. saw a female bald eagle soared right above me it was glorious, then got lost in the sun. I thought that was everloving gorgeous.

I haven't seen good kills in awhile. The big cats have increased at this place. I bet they're dragging it all away, but even in the most "away" areas, there's not a lot of kills.

Not a lot of activity in pine litter. Shrooms are all coming from the warm established mats now. If you guys see strands of mycelium up grass, go deeper or around it more, and find your microclimate mushrooms. I didn't find many stragglers. Two weeks ago I had a few "oh that's there neat" but not anymore.

The ones I did find were either retarded looking or off-color and thus unpicked. One small patch with rockier soil.. weirdest deep/light gray. There's a cross section of sedentary rock and you can see where it split so this one path could be carved. There's mushrooms on the top. It's cool to see the soil beneath. I can't even describe it, I guess like how aborted Atlantic ovoids do. They look like ovoids when dried, too. Strange. But these aborted fellas blended in with the rocks around them. I thought that was cool.

I'm still tripping and images are hard I'll upload more tomorrow.

Sorry to drag this post up but I must say Adden that you write very well while tripping. I thought about it when you wrote it. Ever get into poetry or composing poetry while you're out of it on mushrooms? Give it a go if you haven't already.:mushroom2:
