I did pee my pants a little, not gonna lie.... The substrate was mostly that black beauty bark stuff with hard wood chips mixed in with pine trees close by and then lots of shrubs.

Heheh... Finding that flush inspires me to re-create the spot. It's made me a believer in beauty park mixed with wood chips... maybe some pine needles thrown into the mix as well. I'm not sure what the magic factor was for that gigantic flush but it will be fun to find out.

driving around... Hunting... walking around... kneeling, looking...bending... getting rained on...google earthing...researching...dreaming...wishing.. Lots of all of these and still only one new find this season so far. But either way it has been a good season...
lovely discreet patch in the neighborhoods still keeps on producing!

Its been making some nice fruits!

I really liked this shot from a location i've known about for years now.

Cool little guy. Put him back down wtih some leaf cover in hopes he will grow.

These were taken at a spot that is highly populated with lots of hunters and pickers. Its always nice finding little clusters that everyone else missed for some reason.

More bathroom mushies....ew....

Went to another spot that was destroyed purposefully and found just a few. Decided to take the cluster considering the circumstances.
In attempts to get rid of them they probably just spread them more... I Stuck the stem buts and colonized chips in prime environments.
Amazing finds out there everyone... Just when I feel settled like I could take it easy I get an itchen to go hunt after all the finds yall are posting.. Great job!

Most of the places I know about fruit until mid Jan maybe.
Have a memory of walking by Christmas carolers at the first patch I ever found. I picked at that location from Halloween through to New Years and beyond.

Haven't been able to hunt much, working life sucks! Founds some ovoids just as it was getting dark today though. From a college campus that produces cyans, allenii and now ovoids.

Impressive finds from all you out in mushland

Nice finds! Lot's of Ovoids on this page I like it Hopefully soon I can post some of those as well but for now here's some of my finds from today's long walk in the park.
A whole bunch of tiny patches of 5-15 mushrooms spread throughout a big portion of the park and one decent sized one that was much more well hidden. Very well known place, most have been ripped up or trampled on but what can ya do I hid lots of pins and met some awesome like minded hunters.

Here's the three or four small patches as well

Shout out to the two cats from the north today! Stay safe my friends and enjoy

This year's cyan hunts have been so intense. I can't decide if I've just gotten crazy good at finding cyans (unlikely) or if there are way more in the Seattle area this year. Plus I'm finding them in more diverse habitats and substrates. Here's one of the new patches I found this morning plus a bonus retaining wall of amanita muscaria.

Beautiful stem on this one, pics don't do it justice at all.
Slightly desiccated patch. So easy to clean and dehydrate.
Has anyone found cyans growing in coconut fibers before? This was my first time.

Thanks! Ovoids are one of my favs, except the smell. Lots of variation in this species. They can be very different from spring to fall and patch to patch. We need to get more of these bad boys spread up north for yall. I think I remember someone finding some in Bellingham this past spring. Was that the first documented case up yonder?

Someone's donor patch and all they had was coir for casing?

Here's a few more of my pictures from this seasons hunts. This is my first year taking more than a few habitat shots.
I wish I had started sooner, I've taken way too many boring pictures of dehydrator trays filled with mushrooms over the years.
