I'd put money on those being cyans. Nothing suspect bout em just a lil older than you'd generally want but I'd eat the first one if it were my first find.
Got couple fun pics today right on the freeway. One of which looks like a flock of stuntzii in migration towards the road!
Just down a lil ways in the same bed a school of cyans doing the same!

People must of been like wtf is that guy laying on the side of the road for? But the shots were worth it.
And bubbs, yah joust and i are both glass artists. If you wanna see my work pm me I'll link you.

Found these today near the north end of Big Lagoon in Trinidad, CA. I've been back up in Humboldt for over 3 years and these are the first ones I've come across. Doing a spore print to be safe but I'm pretty confident these are cyans.

Nice. Back in the day my buddy's Gpa was the Mayor of Trinidad Dave Zebo. Spent lots of time there. I remember a story about a woodchip pile on the highway right in that area that was covered in cyans. 1000's of them. So i hear. Nice finds and welcome.

I haven't been hunting since Halloween. Going back to the coast today. I want more matures! I've had 2 massive trips so far this season @ 2 grams each. I've been trying to chase down a certain visual pattern to capture it on paper and turn into silver.

All the flushes should be out by now, what's out there is all that will be! Clocked in with 5 ounces of dried Cyanescens this year, from a patch 2 miles from my house. If you're having problems finding patches, don't lose faith. They can be found literally anywhere!!
Either from my home patch last year, spores have spread around or I'm literally finding countless areas of cyans. I have found 3 to 4 new areas of cyans right outside my house, though they are not fully colonized and developed as they could be, cyans are everywhere! Under stop signs, on the sides of roads, in the forest.
I'm going back out looking again and to spread more mycelium to other hard wood patches, I already found my haul for the season but I keep finding more!

Yeah I'm not having any problems finding them. I've gotten at least 4oxen dry so far and I usually end the season with less than one. Haven't found the carpet patch yet this year but my traditional patches have been doing really good. One patch is on an old native American camp that now has beach houses. The haida type visuals I get from these are insane.

What? No. It hasn't even frozen yet, in most places around the Sound. The fruiting rate may well be slower from here on, but they aren't going to stop entirely until at least the first hard frost. Last year I kept finding one or two here and there until January.

The majority of the patches are already up and sprouting, all the flushes come up with the first mushrooms, the primordia that you can find is all that will be there, they just flush later - they just stay small until the season progresses, but never will be larger fruits and heavier than the first flush.
I would take a wild guess and say 80% of the patches are already up that will be this year, maybe even more. The cold is what halts fruiting
I should of re-worded, the flushes will continue, but the vast majority of patches that are already up, are the ones that will stay. No more new patches sprouting, what you find is smaller older mushrooms in the flush, or older mature first flush mushrooms. There's no more first flushes happening at this point
