Stumbled upon another new patch in the same day within miles of the first find. This one is a lot bigger but was nearing the end of its lifecycle of the first flush. Biggest find of my life though
Hopefully will be able to catch the 2nd flush before they sporulate

I've been wondering myself, and well, and then it happened. In places I would of never went to look, the side of the roads!

Oregon coast, no sign of anything in the dune grass, but went to a favorite spot where there are some wood chips scattered through a field.

Some uber mature fruits. I love to see them rotting for some weird reason, it seems so natural.

There is without a single doubt a second flush coming up this year, I'm hoping for more rains and warm weather.

Wow you guys are just killing it this year!
I found two fruits from two diff species, I'll post up pics later for ID. pretty sure one is a cyanescens. I don't suppose I'm looking in the right spots though.. I head to parks on the oregon coast and look around the dune grass near the edge of tree lines, near walking trails etc. Astoria is really cool but I have no clue where to begin without looking and feeling like a total sketch ball.

It is both raining bullets and unseasonably warm, I hope it stays like this until the middle of December.

I keep hearing about the wettest month October was. My Back yard/Flood zone tells another story. Dry, as far as normal levels this time of year. Perhaps other forces are at work on the other end of the water shed? The new Costco monstrosity going up in my Neighborhood required some other improvements to the area's drainage Before any construction began. I just cant find anything Physically changed on my own exploration.

Offtopic, sorry, but can anyone tell me the species of Agaricus? There is a nice patch of these on the homestead, at first I thought they were augustus, but the shaggies are darker and less fuzzy, and I've never seen the veil hold together and create such a prominent ring on augustus.
Thanks!

Check out how they smell. If they have a phenolic smell, you don't want to be eating them. I'm thinking A. hondensis or A. moelleri, but I am not a trusted identifier so keep checking. Try posting in a new thread in Hunting and Identification for better luck on ID.
