Yesterday I went to check on a spot I've been watching for years. It's a half mile long strip of wood chips near a freeway entrance. A perfect riparian area the city put up... I have been waiting and waiting for the wood chip to ripen... and then blam after 3 years. Well worth the wait.
This is the biggest flush I've ever found in about 8 years of hunting. The ground literally carpeted... as far as the eye can see.

Thanks man! The funny thing is, I didn't pick a single mushroom from all of those pics. They were literally everywhere. I might just go back in a few days to take some pics

Holy shit tenaciousme !!
I've scoped all the freeway entrances near me and they all use way too much cedar and bark..
... speechless. .
now what are the chances that someone did not douse that stretch in spores for it to be such a homogeneous monoculture?

The substrate at this particular spot was kinda weird, not where I would expect to find a huge flush. Not a ton of wood chips, but that dark beauty bark looking stuff and a lot of pine needles and twigs.
I wouldn't rule out that someone cultivated this spot, but I think it's natural. I've had cyans grow on wood chips that were not inoculated.

Good luck man and nice stuntzii find! It just takes that one moment to find a perfect patch and it took me 2 months to find this And right after i found 10+ patches in the same park and more in a pile of woodchips nearby

I didn't think it was, either! Dunno why I didn't print it... A neighbor of mine used to find "blue ringers" around where I found it, and when I showed him the pictures he quickly confirmed that that was what they were. I doubted they'd blue like that from the rain, but... *shrug*
It was definitely active, though. Felt a definite vibe shift, but nothing more than that.

Not to be off topic, but how do you guys store these guys? I've still got some dried ones left over from last year. I just chuck them in a jar with desiccant and chuck em in the fridge.
Is it possible to sort of, extract them to a tincture or something? Or is it best to keep them as is for storage?
