Did u make the patch?

That's why I just make more pathces. If one gets compromised, oh well on to the next. Never room for disappointment lol

Spore bomb baby!

My moddo is for each mushroom u pick, u should print one mushroom and release all of its spores into suitable habitat..

So we're all falling far behind lol

Ive been trying to figure out a way to fully print evey mushroom i pick without removing cap from stem.  I have been drying on tin foil and have been collecting the spores on that, but they are usually a smidgen of a print from each mushroom.  I know its a little silly I want em all in tact, but I do damnit...i just do...

I will do a couple full prints from each flush tho

Be on the lookout for over mature patches  that have thick spore deposits on them. You can clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel, then when you're done put the paper towel in a bottle of water shake that shit up! I've had so many spores on one paper towel that I was able to make a couple of gallons of spore water. I also have a separate bag for nasty ones that I throw in a blender with water to make even more. Another member also mentioned trying to scrape stem butt spawn myc in to water and blending that up as well. Already ready to eat that way. Spread the love!

I had so many spores collected I made gallons upon gallons of seriously concentrated solution. Still have spores and gave lots away too.

I took gallons w me every day.... and picked for weeks every day...

I covered acres. My job was to spore bomb lol

I leave the over mature ones alone and print all my goods ones. Ud be surprised how many spores u save up in a season lol

It's worth cutting the stems off and taking the time each day to print em I feel

Quick question.  Is Mason county too far East to find Cyans, azzies, Baeos?  Not requesting a hunting party.  Just would like some more information.

Thanks in advance.

Took a walk today in a nice little park, i've been hunting a lot this season but until now found nothing. Sorry for the pic quality! Enjoy! :mushroom2:

Its not a ton like all the other great hunters on here but its my modest findings. It took me many hours to finally find something but i enjoy the experience. I also noticed huge parts of the woodchips they were growing in had been ripped apart almost. Tsk tsk guys come on, we can do better.

It's a bummer, I went to one of my spots I have had some success before today, and the whole chipped area was all raked up.  There were so many different kinds of mushrooms growing there and now there were hardly any sticking out of the ground. I wonder who did that, or why they did that. Oh well guess I gotta just get used to this kinda thing lol.

Seen Some fucked up shit this year!

I had an interesting day.

I'd say the rest are gyms.  Delete this post if I'm wrong.
Growing from a dead limb

This one was growing from the duff about 4 feet from the first one.

I'd found these fruiting about three years ago.  They're back.  Spotted them tonight growing from the base of a Totem pole.

Funny too.  Yesterday I stumbled upon and met a few hunters.  Nice to meet you ambc!  Just after you mentioned gyms 10 min.  Into the hunt I stumbled upon some probably the ones you spotted.  I went to pinch it and the whole cluster came off.. Oops.

Finally contributing, I've been struggling with photo storage but here's some shots of a small patch of the biggest beefiest Cyans I've ever seen in Portland. Coast trip tomorrow so I'll be back with Azzie shots.

I missed a bunch of pages, but a few back someone was talking about foot traffic destroying the mat and causing them not to fruit... From what i saw is where the foot teaffic whether it be human, or a game trail, is where they would grow... I think the stress causes by the traffic is what causes them to fruit... If they are in grass, it is long grass that gets whipped the fuck around by the wind which in turn is constantly pulling on the myc... And where animals walk through disturbing the myc it fruits too... Along the edges of human trails they fruit... The further away from the disruptions the less the fruits... So i completely disagree with you about picking fruits and stepping on myc killing patches... I think myc that never gets stressed from those exact things allows it to sit dormant. Content, with no need to really produce one or two fruitbodies worth of spores because it is doing fine... Hope that makes sense.

I was referring to cyans growing from wood chips, not in the dunes. There seems to be an infinite amount of food for them to thrive year after year in the dunes. Once wood chips are gone so are the cyans. Big difference. Some species and like to have their mycelium disturbed more often, ovoids are a great example. But I feel like most other wood lovers  (cyans, allenii, subs, etc.) Will not benefit from their mycelial mat being stomped on. Hope that makes sense.
