Some of them do have that very dark brown that ovoids get here in the pnw. But do they have an annulus? That's the major determining factor, we can't see the stipe in those shots

Good stuff in the forum today. Is far as the patch disappearing debate. I think the longer they got Freshwood every year and not ripped up to hell during the picking season that they'll survive and be there over and over. I think when you're just pulling up chunks and not clipping them when their fruiting does way more damage than roughing them up in the off-season . I know one thing for sure they can go through some wood real fast so if they don't have any fresh foods then they're gone down the road. 10-26-16

Hmmm there's remnants it seems of an annulus but not a definite one. If i had to guess though I'd lean on the side of ovoid.

This and the others you posted are definitely Azures. Look at the younger ones have that distinct bell shape. very nice patch.
And in this pic that is not veil remnants its pore deposits I have seen this on allenii and azurescens. Even seen it on cyans just not as heavy. Next time you see cyan pins look below the cap there is a whispy, spider web looking veil. Its definitely not like ovoids though. Spores will collect on this.

This is a mixed collection of Ps. azurescens and cyanescens. Stipes of dune/beach cyans in Pacific County have very hard almost reed-like stems. I see this all the time around there. Everything you've found is active and good to go even if it's just a few in there. 2 almost in the center of the bush and the three hugging on the left. Chances are if the stem is wet or soaked and it still snaps and breaks you've got a cyan.

Can you highlight or circle the ones in MS paint that you think are cyans? I'm just not seeing it, they all look the same to me.

all of oldhags collection look like Azurescens to me as well. There can be genetic differences within a patch. None of those look like cyanescens to me though.

So, i ate about 2 dried grams of cyans i found 2 weeks ago yesterday and i felt absolutely nothing. I fan dried them for a day before getting a dehydrator, then they dehydrated for about 6 hours, im just confused cause i ate a rather decent amount and didnt feel anything at all. yall can go look back at my find on page 25, what i found were definitely active cyans. anyone know what couldve happened?

Weak variety maybe and that's a borderline active dose anyway for me. Do you take antidepressants or any other drug that binds to your serotonin receptors?

No im not on anything at all, i ate a tester dose of the cyans the week before, and the week before that i ate a psilocybin tablet, maybe i should wait two weeks before i try again? and i guess the next time i try ill just have to eat 5 grams. was just confused cause the reccomended level 3-4 trip calls for around 2.5 grams. oh well, we shall see.

2 grams for me is P Len-ty!! I usually do light doses, but what is grams like for you? I find myself to be very sensitive to the active chems. I have found cyans that are really weak before(They were my first cyans, so I had a wrong reference to their potency when i found a strong patch the next year...oops)
If 2 grams is a level one dose for you, it.could be that they are too weak. Sometimes i find older mature mushrooms to be a bit weaker than prime ones as well. Also, set and setting has a huge factor which makes things difficult to assess.

looks like i will just have to triple the dose next time i go in, i will wait 2 weeks to make sure my body has fully reset and is ready. also my set and setting was my comfy home with tons of music set up to listen to. just interesting that they didnt work. inspiration to go out and find some more patches!

Be careful with that. 2 grams dried of good cyans is a fairly strong dose. I was losing my shit at 2.5g i do have lower than average tolerance though. The one's growing in my sig from the grass were very healthy fruits but were pretty weak. But on average cyans are close to twice as potent as cubes. So i say be careful, especially if you pick from another patch. Could get blown away eating 6 grams of cyans like you suggested.
Edit :i looked at your post on page 25 and those definitely appear to be cyans. If the sit partially dried they can lose potency quickly. They also may just be a less potent strain.

Found these azures a couple weeks ago in suburbia puget sound. The stems bruise almost completely black.

Found these cyanscens today. It's their first flush. It was a busy area so I didn't take a patch shot.
These ringers I first found on Oct 5th. It appeared they had been fruiting for about a week by then.
