It's weird that one of them bruises so dark that its almost black. It's gotten darker since I posted these pictures, I'll post more tomorrow. They were growing off of alder or maybe maple sticks/twigs.
I also found a Pacific giant salamander in the same area.

Super neat!
I see those guys every so often in the Wilson river when I'm out fishing. They can crawl upstream in swift currents, very strong.

Thought this was a neat shot. I'm still loving every second of seeing their life cycles. Nature in action kind of thing. Their stem butts were disgustingly huge. They are being added to a fertile dune grass area with sedge and no cyans, just tiny azures.
The whole area has got to be one mat except on tops of ant hills and landscaping piles. It's sandy in composition but also spongey, like how Stamets said the health of an ecosystem is that squish and reshaping.
There were a couple of these, quite large, that had started rotting just picked by no one. I've figured out the cycle of this place and its rhythm, I need a giant raging storm for my honey hole.
The light tan in the top mushroom is about the size of a nickel. About a literal handful on the big one and a sizeable handful on the other.
They are beasts. Very fleshy and meaty caps and stems as hard as a #2 pencil. I wish I had seen them two days earlier. Their butts went to a prolific azure bed and a clustered azure area (and vice versa).

I wasn't even looking for them yesterday when I stumbled upon a huge patch of azures and cyanescens while hiking by the coast. Not a bad find :3

Hey I'm fairly new to this and found a large patch of what looks like cyans but I am not sure. Found in mulch. Would appreciate feedback.

100% for sure not cyans, but for future id requests post them in a new thread, not on the official actives thread.

So after seeing Maynards pellies i set out to find some and just before sunset i finally bumped into a patch. Mine arnt bluing heavily like Maynards but it's early and they don't always. I've actually never found them in October before, this is the earliest.

The last 2 pics are to give scale of what you're looking for out in a vast clear cut expanse. Just an itty bitty lil dot from 5 ft up. And sunset made it worse i think.
Killer finds everyone this is been great!
Asta let's go check your pelly patch soon.

I had kind of a crap day. Two of my spots were raped beyond belief. One of them was HUNDREDS of pins, that were just ripped from the ground... Come on Portland.

I did good today in the dune grasses. I had almost given up when I stumbled across a giant red legged frog in a patch of azures and hundreds of meaty cyans. It was magical!
