Found a few P. cyanescens out at the coast this last weekend.

I was also lucky enough to catch what seems to be first fruits from the P. azurescens patch.

Found my first prolific patch this evening, this is definitely my best find. To me it is unbelievable, -- completely undisturbed, hundereds of rotting matures, hundereds in their prime and hundereds of pins. It's hard to even quantify how many are growing. These are the biggest, most aggressive cyanecens I've ever seen. One cap fills my palm, stems are as thick as a straw, gills are dripping spores. I feel like this is a completely unknown spot, found it in an unlikely location.
Spent about 5 minutes here and filled a small bag before snapping these pics.
Not even the biggest cap, just grabbed one off the top of the bag.

Fairy Ring

More

And more

Lots of early risers are melting back into the ground.

And my modest haul.

Feeling very blessed to have found these.

Mr Piggy said: So landscaped urban and suburban environments are the wild now? Even if someone were to take tons of azzies, they are doing so from stands of invasive European dune grass. What people do with the mushrooms they pick is their own business, as in none of yours.
Have you started any patches recently? Many of the patches that you think sprang up by chance of nature have been started intentionally by other hunters with the knowledge that public property is fair game. Some people contribute many dozens or hundreds of hours of their own time and research to spread these urban delights that you stumble upon.
Ultimately, none of us own these mushrooms and they are not ours to set regulations for. If you want a patch that is all your own then start one in your yard, or make some planter pots.
This reminds me- I've got a cyanofriscosa print (I think it's been renamed, alan rockefeller gave it to me) and I'd love to get a patch going up here... Though I don't know if I want to introduce it up here.

Has anyone found anything along the Oregon coast yet? Went to Newport last weekend and found nothing but the smell was everywhere. We're going to some of my spots today up north but would be good to hear if people are hitting anything south of Tillamook yet.

I've been working south of Tillamook for the last two weeks. It's been great. I'm not even bothering with the north coast yet and I'm doing A+
