Went back to the Fibs.....it has been so dry out here. There doesn't seem to be any new growth. But I looked around and picked a couple of the healthier looking ones. I am pretty confident that they are Psilocybe Cyanofibrillosa. Or maybe that is just wishful thinking. Hopefully they will flourish in the next couple of weeks.

And I threw in a habitat shot along with two more saturated pictures to show more color.

Second time I'm posting this because people don't read the rules.
There's a speculation thread if you want to talk there. Please see rule 8 and be careful who you meet here or out picking and use common sense.

some heat is good. Fan definetly. I use screens with lightbulb under neath and fan blowing medium 1 1/2-2 1/2 days aprox then vacum sealed in jar with container of that d-something. I use a jar for each harvest so i don't need to keep opening to add more. i put the jars in a box in the dark. end of the season i open all jars and mix all mushrooms together for even potency distribution. Next i vacuum seal in dose size(3.5) bags and freeze. Same reason as the jars. I don't need to keep opening the bag to take a dose out. i just need to grab a bag for each guest. Eliminating air being introduced to the rest of the mushrooms. This has just been the best method for retaining potency for me. I'm sure theirs better ways. A buddy had some couple weeks ago and the required feedback was positive. Still potent AF a year later. Keys in my opinion. Dry them fast as possible. Minimal Handling. No Air exposure.

If you do not know the species of the mushrooms you have gathered yes I would take spore prints of said mushrooms. When I pick psilocybe mushrooms I usually take spore prints of the specimens that have healthy genetics, or the ones that look appealing to me. I take those spores and make spore water, that way when I return to those spots the spores are replenished along with those particular genetics. And you can also take that spore water and scout new spots that look optimal and put spores there as well.

Nice finds everyone! This year is gonna be bumpin!
Lil update on my bin of the suspect subaeruginosa. I used only sterile chips and keep this bin indoor to prevent contamination from cyan spores. I'm concerned asta might have plausible contamination until the fruits mature further. But I'm positive this is only the miq mycelium.
I put the bin in my Cellar 3 weeks ago.

I hope not! But there is a Cyan strain here that is very aggressive.

I actually went out on a hunt today for the first time this season. My girlfriend made things difficult but here is what I found:
Find #1 - Solitary - Baeo? Silvatica? No annulus

Find #2 - Cluster of 3 - Roughly 100 yards away from find #1 Baeo, Cyanofibrillosa, Silvatica? No annulus.

Find #3: Obvious Cyan pins - Nothing exciting....

Species Found: Gymnopilus Luteofolius ~ Panaeolus Cinctulus ~ Psilocybe Baeocystis ~ Psilocybe Cyanescens ~ Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa ~ Psilocybe Semilanceata ~ Psilocybe Stuntzii
