Would a "cool room" work
    #23634446 - 09/11/16 12:07 AM (7 years, 5 months ago)

Hey in my house i have virtually no place in my house THATS remotely clean. There's carpet everywhere and people are always walking around messing with shit. I have a room with 2 fridges and a cement floor would this work. Aslong as you steralize the room does it really matter.?

You didn't even mention what you're trying to do with this room.  Maybe like.. slow down a little?

Your house doesn't need to be clean at all, to grow in.  I mean, it helps if it's not 100 years old and full of mold in the attic or whatever, but tons of people grow in rooms with carpet, with pets, and all kinds of shit.

You cant sterilize a room. And for fruiting substrates the room doesnt need to be clean , they wont contaminate from the room.

There are times when you need to do sterile work, and that can b e accomplished using a laminar flow hood or a still air box.

A still air box is as simple as a clear plastic tote with two arm holes cut out. It isnt sterile inside either, but it works by keeping the air still so that contaminants floating in the air wont get stirred up and blown or settled into your sterile work.

So basically you can cultivate anywhere indoors. Obviously the cleaner the better, but as long as youdo your ssterile work properly you will be fine.

I grow on carpet and the most cleaning I've done is organizing shit, and a vacuum every month or 2, which is basically just knocking up contams everywhere. Still hasn't caused problems.
