Accidentally mixed two strains

And I do mean strains, not two different cubes. Lol I was spawning some trays today, with two quarts of spawn and two quarts of sub per tray, along with a single tray with only one quart of each. So that's nine quarts of spawn. 8 galindoi, 1 Cambodian. So, long story short, I accidentally grabbed the Cambodian jar and spawned it together with a galindoi jar. Didn't realize til I went to do the last jar and it was galindoi. I was going to spawn them separately, obviously, but I just wanted to ask what's going to happen to the tub as far as the type of fruit it will produce? Will there be two different looking fruits, or will they merge into one, or what? Peace

You will have fruits of each species, but no visible hybrids.

If you're running monotubs I imagine you just hold out until the last flush and then break the substrate apart to collect, but they may try to break free themselves. Who knows.

You didn't mix strains... You mixed species.
Cubes come in varieties. GT cambo B+
Strains are the result of two spores mating. If you use a spore syringe you have 100s if not 1000s of strains in a single grow. An isolate is a single strain. A clone of a mushroom can and usually is made of many strains working together.
And this thread is why I label my jars, even smell checking the spawn would have caught this..

But isn't psilocybe galindoi a different strain than psilocybe cubensis? Or are you saying that it's a different SPECIES?

I guess what I'm asking is... Is it the first word or second word in "psilocybe cubensis" that identifies the species

Psilocybe is the genus, cubensis is the species. Basic taxonomy.

Mixing jars up happens.
I did it a few weeks ago and just harvested some B+ and Burma fruits beside each other. Kinda feel like it may have reduced yield.

I think it does. Two different dikaryotic Myc strains with different genetics will fight each other for nutrients. Usually the stronger mycelium will come out the winner, but if they are somewhat evenly matched, the above may happen. At least from what I understand. Did this with B+ and Costa Rican

Looks like the Burma won too.

While different species. Galindoi is. Psilocybe mexicana. Psilocybe cubensis is a different species.
