Yeah the original music is killer.
I finished it last night. Great show as before, too bad the seasons aren't a bit longer.

Last week I linked to & provided a brief write up of the new OST for the second season. Here. It’s one of my favorite things about the show, but no one seemed interested.
Last year S U R V I V E played about an hour away from me but I couldn’t make it because of stupid adult life. Really hoping I can catch them live soon.

If it's not a comedy or exceptionally good drama(breaking bad, better call saul) I probably won't get into it. I'll give the pilot a shot after work If I remember to.
A few peeps been talking it up a lot lately but that happens with shows that are mediocre too For instance Dr. Who is a heaping pile of shit, but received lots of praise a few years back.

If you were a kid in the 80's you'll love it!
I'm on Ep 4 now...I almost laughed at the scene of Will screaming "Go away!" at the monster
Edit: Dr. Who is for fanboys
I can't stand it, myself

I'd say it's quite a good drama. Great casting choices, a lot of attention to character development, and movie-style production value.

I never liked Dr. Who either. I think you had to grow up with it & have a nostalgia for it to be into it. That “Whovian” fandom is pretty rabid though.

Rick and Morty is a great show but does have an ungodly cult-following. Oh well, Dan Harmon is a boss, he deserves major props.

No prob. Cool presses though
Anyway, just finished season 2. I can't exactly tell which I liked better now that I'm done, but it's been a while since I've seen season 1 so maybe I should rewatch it soon for a better comparison. It was really good though, looks like a lot of opportunity in season 3.
I was so sure that Bob was a spy for a while I was sad to see that dork go when he did though. Mike is such a little prick, it actually kinda bugged me that one of the last things he said to Sam was "you're still not in our party" after all that shit. I was only happy for 11 in the end, not Mike. Fuck Mike.

I neither grew up with Who or enjoy the nostalgia. I just like watching it when it’s super late and I’m hella baked. To me it’s a sci fi that’s entertaining just because it doesn’t take itself too seriously and occasionally messes with some interesting concepts. Also, Amy Pond is my wife in an alternate universe so I’m obligated to watch occasionally.

To this point I've watched Episode 6 of Season 1 and I still somehow wonder why I'm doing this to myself. I can't really stand the acting. To be fair, my suspicion is that the director(s?) have some kind of conception about how they want to show what they want to show that varies greatly from what I deem to be realistic or entertaining. It's a bit straining to watch for me because it doesn't feel authentic.
I know I'm very touchy when it comes down to movies or TV series especially in regard to acting. It all seems too intended and staged. But there's series I really enjoy. For example Better Call Saul or Breaking Bad. And I found Narcos to be exceptionally good, it really had my heart racing and excited. The acting is incredible. They did such a great job. Especially with the 3rd Season, they totally nailed it in my opinion. Beside those series I like Game of Thrones, LOTR, The Hobbit, Rick & Morty and I'm a huge South Park fan. Also I like movies like American Hustle, American Psycho and that's all I can think of right now(Just to give you some background).
But mostly when I start to watch a series or movie, I quit and spend my time doing other things.

They did an excellent job...and all of these comments is demonstrative proof that Hollywood is in deep shit....how many people do you hear wanting to see a movie at the theater?Maybe for Star Wars or IT....I will agree IT was pretty good (as good as a book to a movie can be) but the excitement and anticipattion are for streaming series

So I'm on episode 9 - last one, should be good!!
Episode 7 is the one I want to talk about! At first, I didn't know why they were putting Eleven/Jane in Chicago...I thought that she wouldn't find her sister, or would find her but her sister would be "evil" - possibly under the upside down world and the monster's control, but probably as a government agent.
Boy was I wrong
Instead, we were given a bit of a taste of Season 3
