I need some advice for growing Trichocereus Cacti indoors (lighting)

I am an accomplished ex cannabis grower so I'm pretty familiar with indoor growing. However, I would appreciate some lighting advice for San Pedro and Bridgesii cacti indoors (its been a rainy year and they're suffering). Im going to be using compact flourescent bulbs, as I have had good success with them for the veg. cycle on my cannabis in the past. How much light do they need indoors?? How many lumens per sq. feet should I aim for? Cooler spectrum or warm spectrum??

If that's the case, why do they thrive in a partially sunny window? I was pushing 50w per square foot of HPS when I was growing pot, I'm pretty sure that would be more than enough for cacti. You can get son pretty serious cfl lights...
Edit... After some quick research, I'm afraid you are right.

Yeah it would be for the winter only. The heat down here in the summer is horrible and it damaged some of my cacti. That's one reason I am considering moving indoors.

Maybe experiment with real low lighting close to the cactus . See if they get fat since they sense the light source is so close and providing low temp energy I'm sure the cactus would do something or u can raise the lights and just give the tip low light 24 HR

I'm sure if you use something like....5 cfl tubes with reflector to surround your cacti in close proximity it would be enough. You'll not be able to see your cacti though

I wouldnt go for indoor grow if you have a good growing season.
I am thinking that growing cacti with sun and then bring them inside to conditions like low lvl of air and none brighness from the day could confuse the growth, maybe its better to just hold waterings for as long as the temperatures are low and the days are cloudy.Maybe i am completely wrong though. Ether way i think it doesnt worth it for the amount of watts you need to spend for some legit growth.
