What should I do with this Viridis clone?

So I bought a Viridis leaf a few days ago. It wasn't supposed to be a rooted clone. Today I received it. I pulled it out of a wet paper towel and found that it had roots already. Not many and they are not long at all.
I was going to leave it in a dish of water and await roots because I simply don't have success cloning things in dirt if I want them to succeed. I wanted to wait to see how big the leaf was before deciding if I should break it in half. It's not a very large leaf, about 5 inches long.
What should I do? Leave it as it is and immediately plant the delicate leaf in dirt? Break it in half and leave both sitting in water for a few months? Break it in half and put it in water and plant the other half?
I was not prepared for this!

ps. the roots were a very nice surprise, thanks whoever

I'd out it in some good soil with a humidity dome so I know it's ok. If you want to root further in water put an airstone in there.

I broke the leaf in half with the rooted part having maybe an inch more than the other half. I put the rooted part in some soil and watered it generously and I stuck the other half in a dish of water. They're both under some other plants but receive 18 hours of very bright unnatural light.
I decided to not put them in a humidity chamber because the area they sit is always between 60-95% depending on if I have watered any of the plants. Right now it's 87%. I know absolutely nothing about growing this plant.. feels like Salvia all over again!

I don't know that this is necessarily a bad idea, but these cuttings can take forever to root, up to several months. I think you need to plant both in soil, I think the one in water may disintegrate before rooting, but it may be fine as well, I am no expert, but wouldn't do that based on my cuttings. They can be picky, so I would also throw them in a plastic bag/some until they are growing strong. Good luck

I'm also trying to get some. P viridis to grow from leaves. I got 5 from someone and everything I read said put it half way in dirt laying at an angle and keep the soil pretty wet. I've been watering him a tiny bit everyday, they're only in like solo cup size pots.
Good luck with yourviridis, hopefully we both get lucky, from what I have also read it's pretty easy to propogate this plant from leaf so I'm not so worried, keeping them alive is another matter...
