Habitat: Northwest Ohio, backyard residential, growing from a thin patch of mossy grass around clover, no other mushrooms around, about 80 degrees, foggy day

Looks to me like it could be Rooted Collybia, but I'm not a trusted identifier so please wait for someone else with more experience.

I appreciate the input. Def looks similar. I'm a noob, so hopefully some 2nd opinions can support that.

If it is, it might be edible. But definitely wait for a TI before thinking of eating it.

That description does give the ID some more clout. I say that because when I moved the stem around, it felt very sturdy like a stalk. Most mushrooms in my yard snap off easily, but this stem felt like it was dense. It had also been in my yard from morning to night, so it has some resilience.

I had a large branch fall across my whole back yard last year. There were pieces everywhere. Must have helped spawn this one up. Thanks, fellas.
