Why is the shroomery full of children?

I thought this site was for adults, people 18+ or 21+?
Why is there a multitude of kids telling stories about being in their parents home doing psychedelics and whatever else? They haven't even moved out yet. It is really frustrating.
Isn't facebook or twitter for them?

touche, although in general where I live not many people move out until mid twenties just due to the expensive housing market and non-existent vacancies I've got another year to go still

It's because children like psychedelics more than adults do

Yeah, where do you live OP? I think a majority of kids live with their parents until 24 or 25.

I totally understand where you're coming from as well. Tho at the same time its nice to see people who are curious be a little more responsible and come to a site like this and ask questions regarding drug usage. Compared to when I was young and did minimal research but a lot of the time outside of erowid not much was around back then to get first hand information.
I moved out when I turned 19, took off across the country hahaha

It's understandable when it's finance that is hindering you. But I'm talking about those who don't even work and they live at home with no goals. They shouldn't be on this website, they should be on another.

I'd rather not say if I'm honest. I didn't realize that was the age, seems late tbh.

Plenty of people who are 18+ years old are still living at home with their families, does this shock you?

I think unfortunately that that same segment of the population however probably has the most time to waste here and to do drugs in general. I would think this has been an issue with the shroomery since its inception but I haven't been here very long so I can't personally verify that

Honestly i had assumed you were 17-18 based only on your avatar.
I don't think there's that many "kids" here But the shroomery is certainly stocked with young adults. Based only on my limited knowledge of some people's age here, I'd guess that the average age for the active user here is 21. Though obviously the average age for the low-post count "here to grow shrooms and then dip" folks is probably closer to 18

No offense OP but your posts don't really ooz maturity either.
I'm in my mid 20s and I'm living with my parents, again. Life is hard, the economy is complicated, and most of us start out in debt from shit like student loans. And then you gotta think, it is a forum full of drug users, a lot of people fuck up when they're young too. My reason for moving back in with my rents is a combination of those 2 piled up with health problems.
And now they're getting close to where they need someone to help take care of them so, despite me getting ready to move out again in a few months, for all I know I might need to move in with them again in my mid 30s. Living situation is a poor gauge for judging age.
I judge age from maturity conveyed in post content. And by that gauge I'd say there seems to be just as many 'kids' here living away from mom and dad.

To be fair, I do think there are quite a handful of under 18 year olds on here... they tend to have bad grammar and incorrigible logic...

Our parents and their parents and their parents moved out when they legally were adults. They also tended to almost immediately marry and start a family. Times change. And the economy has a lot to do with that. Values do too.
As for the peeps that don't work and do drugs all day... Well this is the forum for them. The only people that can afford to do this are the ones that have parents taking care of them or are retired. Or filthy rich. And those are the sorts of people who are most likely to have the time to take alot of drugs n fuck around on the internet all day. Tis the way tit is.

I think so too but it's still hard to tell sometimes. Again its a forum full of relatively young adult drug users and most of them are male. I tend to think they're a teen but it could just as often be they are immature and high as fuck.

Age really does not matter there are teenagers who are smarter and more mature then most people in their fifties. A better question would be why there are so many immature acting people posting here.

I thought it was odd early on as well, however I have friends who live with thier parents who have gotten thier masters, others who crawl back home due to marital or debt issues, and some who just can't hack it on thier own but hold jobs and are respectable. I am almost 30 and these friends of mine are as old if not older.
The ones I cannot stand are the ones who completely disrespect their parents even after thier parents are kind enough to still provide a roof and food to them.
Living with your parents doesn't make you childish, acting like a child makes you childish.
Edit: And yeah, plenty of people here act pretty damn childish.
