Do You Run A HEPA Filter In Your Spawn or Fruiting Spaces?

My space has cement floors and I keep it pretty clean. I also keep the door closed as much as possible. However, it is not in anyway sealed off from the rest of the house. I try to keep the house clean but it is largely beyond my control and is somewhat of a mess.
Here is my carbon pre-filter on my room after 3 months, before and after:

Obviously I'm not seeing anything microscopic but, WOW, there's clearly a lot of stuff in the air!

Why would you need running a HEPA filter in your fruiting space?

You don't need one in a fruiting space, in a large grow room though they can be useful but are just making the air cleaner not sterile and as far as for spawn, if you have a working spawn lab that is in use a lot, than yeah, but usually you just leave the hood on for an hour in the room before you start to work. Just practice good hygiene in your lab area and your spawn will be fine.

I'm not sure I have a good answer for that except I'm the only somewhat picky and clean person in this house. My spawn and fruiting space are one and the same but the spawn is protected by micron filters.
I suppose it is just trying to be cautious. I have read in other types of systems (like the human body) an infection or contamination is sometimes a numbers game. One bacteria or even a hundred might be handled well, but at some number there is a tipping point where bacteria can multiply out of control and therefore be overwhelming.
In fruiting we are not trying to be aseptic, but isn't the goal to give the fungus the upper hand to win the race? To win the numbers game?
I have also read this is what is roughly happening out in nature with fungus. The reason every cow or horse patty isn't growing any particular fungus, bacteria, mold, etc. is because each one only wins the race occasionally.
Call it paranoia if you like

How are you achieving fresh air for your grow area? You could always bring in scrubbed air but there is always going to be a high spore load where you are fruiting which is why labs are always far away from grow rooms. If you can parcel off the room with a poly film wall or something that would be way better for your spawn area.

I get you, but let me tell you this: I have pets; a dog and a cat that both go outside and inside again and again everyday and I never have any problems as long as I work clean, sterilize properly, use self healing lids, and keep any fruiting substrate somewhere above my eye level.

Nah. I only use my HEPA/hood for sterile work. I do move my grain masters / spawn into clear tubs to keep it a little cleaner but that's it.

Quite frankly, this is the kind of feedback I was looking for. I've read about people having good success even in dirty environments but not from many of the people I perceive as serious forum members.

I wish I could isolate my space but I am dependent on the house central air for cooling. I have no other option for this at present. So, "fresh" air comes in through the system vent, as I go in and out of the room, and around the closed door which is not too well sealed.

As long as your jars/bags stay sterile during colonization and you pasteurize properly if you do a bulk grow, you won't be having any problems.
