I gotta say... Some of these tubs are starting to look really questionable.
Example:

What do you guys think? Toss? The blobs are still growing...
Edit, there are some good looking ones too:

Dropped my camera and broke the autofocus shit in the lens

Just wanted to say, I'll have an update for this by the end of the week.
They're finally starting to turn orange/yellow and are growing a lot each day!
The moldy spots on the subs are not slowing them down at all or damaging the fruits so far.
Here's a 6 day comparison, these are the same tub:

Full update! All of the tubs are now fruiting. Number ten (the low spawn rate one) has a shitty pinset compared to the rest, but it's trying at least.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the current results, these are my first monotubs
I can definitely recommend pine or fir for reishi now!
Fir: 1: 2: 3: 4: 5:
Pine: 6: 7: 8: 9: 10:
As you can see hybrid vs. regular minimono design didn't make much of a difference. Some of the fruits have developed pores but are not sporulating!
Sorry if some of the images are a bit blurry, the focusing mechanism on my camera lens is trashed and it floats around unless I hold very still while taking photos.
Updated the OP as well to reflect some of the updates I made.
How long do you guys think these will grow for? How long til harvest?

Was just wondering about your grow. They look good. Mine just started slowing growth so I cut them. I think they went a couple months. Put them on vodka today.

Yeah they're only 3 dollars per huge bag here. Could easily make 20 minimonos with one bag...

I had a spare lid so I made this thing:
Gonna try to get a conk out of one of these tubs...
Edit: tub 3 is the chosen one

that's super cool
So they just pin through the holes like oyster mushrooms then?
I was going for a sgfc type lid just for more FAE than a standard minimono could supply.

Thats brown card, and also I get the same colour change due to digestion. Very interesting images, also a good advert for using brown card.
What is the recipe you used to make the substrate?

Just shredded cardboard box, soaked with hot coffee infused water, its super easy to pasteurise it, either way its hard to get contaminated cardboard.
Oh and make sure you get rid of any ink on there just to stay on the safe side.

Yeah I suspect it's not actually G. lucidum. Far too orange colored.
A semi-well-known user here (Mr. Cloudy) told me most if not all reishi species can be "trained" to grow on softwoods. (paraphrasing)

Time to go back to the woods. There is an ancient woods near me filled with, I think, black reishi. I will have to go back and take some images, I could also try to clone them.
Thats if they are still there, was a few months ago.
