Update!
Tub that wasn't mixed properly, side view:
 Top view of random tub:

Tub that got 1:3 instead of 2:3 spawn ratio:
No noticeable difference between the pine and fir at this point.

There's one tub that has two grains stuck to the tape that's covering one of the holes. It made a mat of myc over the entire surface of the tape...

My fail rate spawning to monos with g lucidum? So far zero, it's so agressive that high success is pretty simple to achieve.

What kind of spawn rate are you using when you do those tubs pasty?

1:2 usually. Cube habits die hard and spawn is cheap to make when you get grain for free or close to it

Ha! I remember reading stamets making the argument for making your own spawn with that point, being able to use higher spawn rates to increase yield rather than supplementing more, way more of a success rate.

UPDATE TIME! I pulled the tape off the top holes yesterday.
Three tubs (two pine, one fir) have what I am tentatively calling pins. See the yellow blob with condensation all over it?
One tub has a tiny spot of penicillium, trich or some green mold attached to the liner. Notice the group of metabs next to it?
One tub has a little patch of very dark metabs, pretty gross looking. The patch is slowly expanding:
This tub is yellowing, kind of hard to see in the photo:

More of these pins have appeared and the one I pointed out in the pictures above has grown a bit! It's getting darker colored too.

The fir tubs are blobbing pretty well, the pine has hardly shown any signs of fruiting. Some of the fir tubs have mold in small amounts. Hopefully it grows slowly enough that I can get a harvest.
Fir with blobs:

Pine with very minor blobbing/pinning.

Full update, all ten tubs. Number 10 is the low spawn rate tub.
Fir: 1: 2: 3: 4: 5:
Pine: 6: 7: 8: 9: 10:
The actual fruitbodies grow so slowly compared to the myc...
I found the original Ebay listing I bought the culture from, this is a picture of (supposedly) the same culture fruiting from bags outdoors.

Sweet, I wonder what kind of environment and temps were going on to fruit so well outside on those bags.
