They have contaminates. The blue dots or whatever, plus the bacteria along the edge. It's pretty obvious actually. You can still transfer some good myc away from the contams.
But..... Did you pour then sterilize? What kind of bottle are you using? And your lid melted because it's a cheap plastic and not useful like polypropylene. How would aluminum foil keep a cheap lid from melting?
You don't sprinkle spores on plates. you touch a print and then just touch the center of your dish. They probably look a lot worse now I bet.

You should have done a little research here before messing with agar bud. Those plates are contaminated as hell.
Also, incubating at 80 degrees is not helping things. You are only going to give anaerobic bacteria a jumpstart if any are present. Once they spread over/around your Myc its going to be tough getting a clean transfer.

No, OP, not with your finger either. With a sterile tool, like an inoculation loop or a scalpel.

.
-------------------- The biggest trip of my life was realizing all of the events and actions described in posts made by this account were never real and had never actually happened, but were instead the delusional ramblings of a severely mentally ill human being. I just had to move on for my own good. I love you all.
