Have you ever read Jefferson's new testament edit? He basically takes out miraculous stuff and abridges it. Worth a read though.

That is the modern Gov. Solely possessing power for themselves and their agendas.
I've tried being christian and was raised catholic then went to a baptized church. Nobody is going to think just like anyone other person no matter what. The marines try that all they do but people are individual.

The churches are full of spies from the other side. I'm not a particularly big fan of those places, to put it mildly.

I see plenty of spies from the spirit realm but none are human. The human spies of a whole other dogma.

Now you're just slapping random words and concepts together. Could you please explain yourself in a way that actually makes sense?

There's so many quotes attributed to the founding fathers, it's probably good practice to be very skeptical of any quote you find on the Internet that is lacking a solid provenance,

Haha, be that as it may, you only wish you were half the man and virtuous patriot that these founders were. If we packed you into a time machine and sent you back there, you'd probably be kissing King George's rings and sucking Benedict Arnold's cock while sycophantically wagging a finger at those dirty scoundrels who would dare to question British authority and propose legitimate grievances against such a noble tyrant. *gasp*

Oh, and I would like to add too, that a lot of the "Christian" parts to our society (such as the "under god" sentiment in the pledge of allegiance), the under god part was actually added to the pledge much later in the 1950's. It is therefore not evidence that this country was intended to have Christian principles.

Who said that? Sorry for the late response, we have some vehemently anti-Christian moderators.

christianity's been routinely used as a cover for hate. the "moral majority" of the late 70's and 80's was started as a response to the "brown" rulings: in order to keep schools segregated, all white private 'christian' schools were created in the deep south, so the issue became one of religious freedom rather than institutional racism. you wouldn't have to look hard to see christianity used in similar ways today. and while i hardly think that christianity is perfect as far as religions go (or even philosophically superior), this very sort of perversion of christianity is what people seem to mostly be outraged at rather than the religion of christianity itself.

Unfortunately hose same people often lack the cognitive capabilities to separate these perverse human institutions from the faith when denouncing the perceived ills of Christianity. Those people who use the word of God to their own earthly ends will receive their judgement at the end times.

"Love thy god with all thy mind, heart and soul, and love thy neighbor as thyself."
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
"Love, faith, hope and charity... but the greatest of these is love"
"As you do unto the least of these, so you do unto me"
-The Bible
Christianity is love, compassion, forgiveness and service to others.
Anything other than that is a perversion of Christianity that falsely claims the name.
