Drying with an inert gas?

Recently SWIM been researching strains with a higher psilocin content. Specifically pan cyans.SWIM's understanding is that oxygen degrades psilocin. SWIM has found plenty of post regarding storing with an inert gas but couldn't find anything decent on drying in a chamber filled with inert gas. The thought process is that this would prevent the oxygenation of the psilocin. Does anyone here think this is feasible/ worth the time?

they are so thin, they'd probably dry out in a fridge.
not sure about the gas thing, but my first thought is "i don't have that kind of money"
but i am sure that when i eat pans that went thru a dehydrator, I'm 12 feet above where I want to be….so i wouldn't worry about it too much
edit: i personally think those charts that list active content are BS. there is no background info. wild collected? indoor? dry? wet? of course stamets is going to say azurescens are the most potent because he is one of the dudes who helped define it as a species

Sounds like I'm being a wanker .....but for what its worti have ready access to dry ice which I use to purge the oxygen out of glass containers before putting my shrooms in. During the process would be costly and difficult but storing in a zero oxygen environment imo does have its benefits.

Oxidation doesn't happen because of elemental diatomic oxygen in the air. It happens when the fruits are still wet. It is an aqueous reaction. Dry them fast and with heat in a food dehydrator set to at least 150+F(usually 170F is all the way up use that) to lock in potency by killing enzymes responsible for degradation as soon as they're picked. As well as stopping oxidation as quick as possible.

and it's actually an exchange of electrons(hydrogen), not oxygen.

Have one. Works perfectly fine. Trying to improve is the best part of life and science.. Good information from everyone else though. I'm a lurker not a poster. Maybe one uses SWIM because he hasn't posted on an internet forum since everyone was doing it? Or Maybe every precaution is worth the extra second to type it.

i wasnt trying to be a dick. sorry if i can off that way. but in the last few weeks ive seen some people either drying with out-dated practices or just plain wacky ideas.
im sure the gaint bags dried mushrooms sold at asian-mart were done with heat/large dehydrators.

No one on the internet is worth getting offended over. I just have a CO2 tank and a dehydrator that is a sealed system figured i'd give it a try.
