I generally us the micro centrifuge tubes but lately
I have been using these with no complaints. I have
also received these from people and have always had
success.

I bought 500 tubes for $10 so I don't see why the hassle.

I bought 500 for $4 and I can probably make 5000 or so the way
pictured for less than 5 dollars. No real hassle. Only when they
make me pay me at the PO because centrifuge tubes are a 1/16
of an inch bigger than the cheapest envelope size. Basically if you
mail wedges internationally you will save a lot of money.

So lets say I wanted to send some WL Tek spawn to the US from the UK.

What would be the best way to package the product?

The WL Tek spawn will be contam resistant.
It's not squish resistant though :P

First class mail is usually cheaper than companies like FedEx or ups

A little squish shouldn't kill. I would make a little bag
like above and then fold some paper up. Like a 5 page
document folding in three the fit snug in the envelope
keeping the little bag of spawn cushioned.

Well I have a tone of those plastic food containers you get with takeaways.
I could wrap up the bag and place it inside with lid on, few holes.

And then go first class, does that seem ok?

The idea is to get a strain to the US for trading if another plan fails.

Not going to do it as a business or for profit.
Was just considering sending a few.

Does the species print well? If so that works. But any
small durable container should do just fine as long as
it's clean.

Oyster's don't print that well, It is also considered unusual to handle oyster spores.
No need to worry, the WL Tek has already proven to work as spawn.

I have done it about 12 times, 0% failure.

If I can get stuff thru from Thailand snail mail, the UK only takes a week usually.  Should be fine
