Fitness and bodybuilding?

Anyone on here into bodybuilding or fitness plans you adhere to? I will not be able to indulge in any drugs for awhile due to drug court. But I'm thinking about getting back into a gym routine. Maybe put on some muscle and get into great shape and strong. Curious if any of you guys are into this lifestyle and if you really enjoy it? I read and play xbox a lot, but feel like I should improve my physical health and such since I won't be getting high at all

Depending on your level of fitness you likely will not need a gym Amy time soon.
Most people can achieve surprising results just with bodyweight exercises done at home.
So ups, push ups, burpies, pull ups and dips, suplement with some jogging. That will get you a great start. And a fuck ton cheeper than a gym membership

I'm currently doing Jim Stoppani's shortcut to shred, you might try that program (although it's really hard, at least for someone at my level). You can easily google it. If you join the forums on bodybuilding.com you can get some useful advice and plans too.

Good point. My parents already added me to their LA fitness plan months ago, plus I have an apartment gym. I definitely agree that pushup, pull ups, chin ups and simple exercise like that should be staple exercised. That plus some compound exercises with dumbbells and barbell.
But besides growing muscle, I want to get in shape. Build up some endurance. I'm thinking I'll do weight training 3-4 times a week and cardio the other days. Perhaps this will become my new addiction haha gotta find that silver lining I guess.
What's Jim stoppanis workout like? Similar to P90x?

The only thing I'm familiar with in terms of P90X is the Ab Ripper x workout. That is a really good bodyweight ab workout, but I'm not familiar with their broader full-body plan.
Jim Stoppani's shortcut to shred is a 6-week program where you basically lift weights 6 days a week and do a bunch of cardio in between every set, so it's nonstop. At least it's supposed to be, I inevitably take a bunch of micro breaks in between sets because it kicks my ass and I have to wipe the sweat from my face so it doesn't drip into my eyes.
Here's a link to the program anyways, you would need a gym membership though probably. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/jim-stoppani-six-week-shortcut-to-shred.html
You can also join the forums too, I've found them helpful. If you have a question about how to do a specific exercise or want a bodyfat % estimate, people will usually oblige you.

It sounds like you're new to weightlifting/fitness/whatever so my advice would be to be patient for results, put heavy emphasis towards diet and rest (although don't kill yourself at first, enjoy every small bit of progress you make) and focus on perfect form above using large amounts of weight.

There's a lot to say
My current routine centers around bodyweight exercises, some of them with a loaded ruck (20-50'lbs)

Bodybuilding is awesome. I lift 6-7 days a week and do scattered cardio here and there. I've gained 25lbs this year alone and my physique has never been better. You should definitely get into it.

Going heavy 6-7 days a week is walking a pretty fine line That regarding the risk of injury, and diminished returns (muscles build while you rest, etc)
I'm jealous though, when I was in my late teens and early 20s I could workout for 2-4 hours a day and just indulge in the feeling. Now there are too many injuries to compete with and stress seems to stack up a lot faster.
Doing every third day for the bulk of my routine, and abs / cardio almost daily.
