I havnt been able to find a good thread yet so I'll just ask. Once the tub is fully colonized, other than light, what needs to be changed to the tub. I've seen a few people putting on another layer of substrate before fruiting and others say not to. Also how do you change the humidity to induce fruiting?? Sorry for being a noob

Increase Fresh air exchanges. That's really it.

humidity is not as important as FAE(fresh air exchange) you can even have a open tub if you are clean enough.
putting another layer of 'substrate' before fruiting ..... ??? a casing layer ???
being a noob is cool but do more research on the basics. also watch lets grow mushrooms. the $9 download is worth it!

Hell, you can be dirty as hell and still have an open tub. Colonized Myc is pretty contam resistant, so don't worry about that much. Get some holes in your FC and give them some fresh air.
Use search engine to find monotub or SGFC design, and use that.

Option. Most vets use a casing layer because it helps with microclimate and water retention. But it's not required with cubensis.
