Headaches from LSD - painkiller ok?

Hi there,
it often a lot to me that I can massive headaches from shrooms or LSD.
Is it possible that it correlates with the amount? Lower dosages seemed to be easier to handle.
I'm aware that I might dont drink enough. But on a daily basis I dont drink much either and won't have any headaches.
Anyways, is it harmful for the body to take ibuprofen, aspirin or paracetamol while tripping? Because I'm not really able to enjoy the trip when everythings hurts up there.
Cheers

I am a supporter of ibuprofen over the others. Ibuprofen does not effect your liver/blood in the ways the aspirin does. I have taken ibuprofen while tripping and have been perfectly fine.
But you should not be getting headaches every time, even at high doses. Try to drink water during and eat a nice meal before.

I've done it with no issues. I'm guessing it's just a result of vasoconstriction, so I would probably go with some aspirin and drink some water.

A little aspirin isn't gonna hurt your liver though unless you make a habit of takin it

True True. ive always been an ibuprofen taker. You wouldnt want to take aspirin if you were drinking tho.

Thanks guys first of all.

Shouldn't I then get other symptoms in other parts of my body as well?

Now you are confusing me. Since when should I eat much before tripping. Perhaps LSD is different, but at least with shrooms you'd minimize the effect if your stomach is full with loads of food, no?

Of course I'm drinking! I would have a light meal, like a Banana in the morning, then take the stuff. But real stuff I will eat when at the peak and actually get hungry.
That means, I wouldnt have eaten a lot only after 5h after waking up. Nothing unusual, in my eyes. Plus, empty stomach should cause distress in that area not the head, no?
I will drink all the time, before and within. It might not be enough, but not less then I drink on a usual daily basis. Perhaps the necessary amount is higher while on shrooms/lsd?

LSD doesn't cause nausea like shrooms at all. The thing with cid is the long duration makes it pretty bad to fast before. For me it kills my appetite and I know when I dose I will probably not think about food for like 8 hours.
With shrooms it wears of fast enough to not be so bad.
IMHO

LSD does not need to be digested in order to enter your bloodstream like mushrooms do, so it's okay to eat before you take it.
When some people go too long without eating it gives them a headache, this is a very common effect.
LSD also intensifies your perception of what might normally not be noticeable to you. So even a minor discomfort can become painful while under the influence of LSD. So it could be that your diminished water intake is in fact responsible for your headaches. You want to make sure to stay hydrated while you're tripping.
It's also possible that the headaches are just a common side effect of the LSD. Any over the counter NSAID like acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin, or the like might be helpful if this is the case.
I would say that your best bet is to make sure you eat well before hand, drink plenty of water, and have an NSAID on hand just in case.

Awesome, thx a lot. It clarified a lot. I will try drinking extra amounts of water and see what happens. If not, I'm coming back here!

Hahahah you must be tripping, good vibes and happy tripping from here <3
I have had the same issue on shrooms, but only when I tried masturbating, it was almost an impossible task, because right when I stepped up the tempo, I almost broke down because of the bad headache. Maybe it has something to do with the circulation of the blood, if you get too excited about something, or get your adrenaline and blood flow up?

Good point! Perhaps shrooms and lsd raises blood pressure in general and I just react sensitive to that. Question is, how to minimise that pressure? Apspirin should be one way although I'd prefer something less chemical. Because just drinking more water probs won't solve that issue if its the blood pressure. On the other hand, I will try and see what happens.

Well, water never hurts, so you could always try that. As for any less chemicaly alternative to Aspirin, I don't think it exists
