Peyote Wonder
    #23613648 - 09/05/16 03:19 AM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Have you ever seen something like this?
I posted a pic of my cactus a couple of months ago when this shriveled skin appeared after holding it for too long under a brightsun lamp. Now there seems to have appeared new life
Is there some special care i should give the new "pups" (????? what are these?????)
Thank you :3

It is wonderful how cacti react to changes.  You accidentally destroyed its growing point, so it grew a new one.

Just like this Myrtillocactus geometrizans - was used as grafting stock but the graft failed, leaving it without a growing point - so again it grew a replacement.

That looks like an etiolated lophophora. That thing needs more light. Not sirect sun but something shaded.

The colour is wrong for an etiolated specimen.  Some plants have an unusual natural variation, I think maybe this is one.
