North Florida Identification

Hey guys, I was trying out a new field today for cubes, and saw these growing out of some manure in partial shade, around oaks and pines, and they caught my eye. I've recently been trying my hand at identifying strains other than cubes, as I'm positive I've missed out on a lot of pans, copes and gyms over the years simply because I didn't know what they were. Anyway, here's some pics to help, additionally, they are currently bruising a darker brownish color on the stem which is pretty much featureless, no scent that I can detect. I can post more pics as requested. Thanks so much for any help!

So basically unidentifiable? You don't think they're active?

Joie narrowed it down to two likely species. There are no active species in the photographs above.

yes, but after looking through the genus he suggested I came upon an article under a mushroom that appeared to be what I found that said they have the same exact characteristics as many others, so you can't really id it properly.
And there is an active; cubensis, next to the mushroom in question on the paper.

A link to the article in question would be great. An attempt to identify was not made on my part. Joie however, did provide two possible ID's. If you are unsatisfied with the ID's provided, wait for another TI to come along.
However,

Feel free to eat that funky looking cube if you feel so inclined, but doing so might result in undesirable effects other than those of a psychedelic nature.

Entoloma. (6 of one, half a dozen of the other.)
