Pan cinct. Natural outdoor growth cycle?
    #23611451 - 09/04/16 01:47 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

So for about a month pan cincts were growing regularly in the horse pasture. In the passed couple weeks there have not been any. I'm not sure if it's just going to take the right temperature and moisture for them to sprout again or if they acually are just done for the year.
Does anyone have any knowledge on if I could expect another patch to sprout this year or if that would be it?
Also the horse no longer is in this pasture. Because the cincts have grown and reproduced here can I expect them to sprout every year in the same area regardless of the horse being there, or does it require fresh horse manure every year to happen?

This is more of a question for hunting forum but yes, they have a short season, 2-3 weeks in the northeast US from my experience

As you suggest they will eventually stop growing in areas where they have exhausted the nutrients, so if the manure situation stays strong they should be back, but if the horses are not dropping or the piles of manure get overrun with weeds the habitat will certainly respond accordingly, in your case you may not see them in this same place in the future

Hope this gives some perspective :sunny:
