Dammit! I wrote it down last night on a sticky pad. It has to be around here somewhere. * scratches head*

Were you high? I've tried get some of those secrets written down at the peaks of my trips but it often just looks like a scrawled mess in the morning which I can make no sense of.

Very occasionally though, I manage to get something very interesting and life affirming written down in language I understand.....

Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

"But I forgot my pen, shit the bed again"

Only had my first true "Ive cracked the code" experiance two days ago.  Still trying to pull myself back down to "reality" would probably help if I'd stop eating mushrooms or maybe it was my so called "spirit molecule"

torn between the whole dmt thing being a "hippe crippler" or me just being inpatient and unlucky getting ripped off with an imposter chemical

Psychedelics can give you insight into your own mind, but it is doubtful they reveal any objective truths. :ohwell:

Besides, if you shared it, it wouldn't be a secret anymore, now would it?

Everything is better than it was the last time.  I'm good.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.

It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.

I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too.  If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

What's the point of striving after objective truth anyway? It's not like any of us can ever actually observe it.

This is like the psychedelic version of that seinfeld episode where jerry writes down what he thinks is a great joke in the middle of the night but can't read it in the morning. Then when he finally figures it out, it's not even funny.

I think this is a very subtle and important point.

Other species give no thought to the possibility of there being more to life than is experienced.  Every single other organism on Earth is quite content with things as they are.  Only man neurotically dwells on his lot in life, and too commonly the status quo is far from good enough.  To compound matters, for most their lot never really changes.  It would clearly then behoove us to learn acceptance and satisfaction in who we are.  Trying to deny who or what we are, or rebel against it, is at the root of a lot of the major problems we face as a species.

do you think the same applies to animals taken from their natural habitats and placed into captivity?  (presumably at an age where they would have a strong memory of what once was)

granted this involves human interference, as captivity does not seem a natural state anywhere else but among humanity or a spider's web/funnel.  i'm not including quicksand/tar-pits as they are not organisms.

Well, tigers pacing their cages are probably not thinking about how things can be better.  They're probably thinking more along the lines of "this sucks, this sucks, this sucks, etc..."

There's things in this life to be known (like technology) and things to be not (like god).

IMO. I'm really not wording that very well. My head is in a funny place tonight. We shall talk this out in gross detail soon my brother.

i want the data too.  unfortunately, i don't think this is data that will [ever] be obtainable for humans.

it's an unfortunate coin toss, being:  a) we do, so why wouldn't others?, and b) just because we do, why would the others?

This for some reason made me think of trees and plants. The reason for sending branches up in systematically spaces out arrays in all directions. The plant knows what is, maybe there is something else? So more branches. More feelers out into the world. More antennas.

Animals, almost anyone that has owned a male dog will tell you that when you out, most males (unless conditioner otherwise) will want to go and explore sniff stuff, bite and paw at things, piss on everything. Is this not the doings of a curious animal? If so what is it curious about? To find something new? Something yet inexperienced. Same with cats and ferrets. I do not speak about all animals but some (at least in my [slightly bias] opinion) definitely show signs of wanting more, just on what scope or scale may vary.

while i see your point, it is one thing for an organism to explore its immediate landscape/reality.  it's a whole other thing for an organism to create a landscape to explore with no rational physical base/bearing.

Dammit! I wrote it down last night on a sticky pad. It has to be around here somewhere. * scratches head*

Duh ...

so if that was the secret, how are you still living without it?

Duh ...

must actually be quite unnecessary

scratches head

bloody head

wonders: why is my head bloody

answer must be on a piece of paper somewhere

wonders: why is there blood on the paper

so scratches head with incredulity

Hmm, meaning and being..in a time for the longing of rites..to do things..if you could do whatever you wanted you would probably know the meaning of life?

Life is a Mystery but it's no secret. It's right in your face.

Not intentionally. But The Lesser Countenance is the immanence of the transcendent Greater Countenance, the Infinite in the finite, Ain Sof in The Sun, the Father in the Son, the Mystery Revealed.
