Second trip, did about 41g wet. It was an interesting trip, not sure what to make of it.

I'm kind of new to drugs, especially new to psychedelics and this being my second trip I still didn't know how to deal with shrooms, and what to expect. I thought my first trip was a fluke, and that I didn't really know what I was doing.
Anyways, onto the trip.
My parents were home, so I decided to go into nature and take about 41 grams of fresh shrooms. I wanted something intense, introspective and maybe life changing. I live right near a forest and there's a spot I like to go and chill so I figured that would be a good setting.
On the way to the spot I could feel the come-up, I felt good, very happy and eager to start tripping. I kept looking at things to see if I'm hallucinating. Once I got to the spot I felt exhausted and very restless, like I wanted to tighten all my muscles, I can't quite explain this, I felt very restless during the come up.
I was laying down on the grass and started to notice the clouds were sort of transforming, everything was much brighter and vibrant, I felt really good. Then somewhere along the lines I lost this happy feeling, I started to feel dread, and faces in things, like evil looking illusions in patterns. The sun was way too bright for me, and the colours were too much, I had to lay down and cover my eyes with my arm. I wanted darkness. I was looking down at the grass and saw these evil little faces in the ground looking at me, the tree next to me had eyes all over its bark. I could see patterns in everything around me but I was really uneasy. I felt a tightness in my chest, like I couldn't breathe almost. I even had some difficulty breathing, not sure if that was just a hallucination or not but it was a little scary.
The trip progressed and I felt like I was leaving the world, entering a different universe, I couldn't tell if I was real or not, I kept asking to myself is this tree real? Is this grass real? Am I real? I couldn't really talk either, my speech was really slurred and I couldn't walk very well, losing balance a few times. I kept hearing a dog barking, a motorcycle revving it's engine and those big bird bangers that farmers use to scare birds away, this really tripped me out. I kept saying out loud for the dog to shut the fuck up.
I got up to go back to my house and try to calm myself but I couldn't find the trail to get home, I kept wandering around the same spot, everything felt the same, I thought the trail disappeared.
Eventually I forced myself to go in the direction to where the trail was and lo behold, it was still there. I walked back home only to find we had company, I was still tripping hard and knew I would have to put a brave face on and try to act sober, I entered the door, talked to company for about five minutes and excused myself to go to my room.
Once in my room I felt more at ease, the trip started to peak and I saw really cool blurring and fractals on the walls and corner of my room. I actually enjoyed this part, the walls were breathing and I was completely at ease. This lasted for about an hour and half until wearing off and now i'm currently coming down. Not really sure what to take from this one, I want to go deeper into myself next time possibly doing 5g dry or 50 grams wet. I really want to blow my mind, but perhaps I should slow down and learn to enjoy shrooms before mind fucking myself with them.
Also, does anyone imagine goofy things while on mushrooms, like I can't explain it but I'll just imagine stupid things like a talking crocodile or something like that. And another thing, are mushroom visuals just illusions like you just look at something but the patterns and the textures change, but the object stays the same. Like you can't completely imagine an object that's not there, or things moving that are stationary. The visuals I get are mostly patterns and such, nothing super crazy, no seeing aliens or other crazy shit.
Any insight people can offer is greatly appreciated, and as always happy shrooming

Nice report, captures the weirdness of a shroom trip well

I get this quite often if I can feel the trip is coming on strong....you just have to ride it as best you can, the trip can give you some weird bodily sensations, the overall effect is sometimes a little bit scary, but it sounds like you did OK.

I think that's the sensation you get when the trip is quite strong; the feeling that something very strange is happening to the reality around you....

Usually I find that the beginning of the trip is more weird/uncomfortable and the later part of the trip is more euphoric. It can help to think of this when I'm feeling weird at the beginning of the trip.... I know when it peaks it will settle down and become easier to enjoy.

The main thing is not to increase the dose too much in one go. I suppose increasing by 0.5g dry or 5g wet would be more cautious, but when I started tripping I would probably have gone for the 50g wet like you are talking about! At some point things really do suddenly seem to get much more intense, so don't go too crazy...
Also, be careful with the setting if you are planning to 'blow your mind'. I prefer to do this kind of thing indoors - if you are tripping outside just make sure it's somewhere sensible and calm where you won't be disturbed or fall down a ravine or something....don't wander around randomly on a high dose.

Yes, all kinds of weird, random and wonderful images and thoughts can pop into your head..its part of the charm of tripping, you suddenly find yourself thinking about giant barracuda for no reason whatsoever.

Mostly that would be accurate, although with a really strong dose sometimes you look around you and think "holy shit this is crazy!". A difficulty is that the higher the dose, the less attention you pay to the visuals, because your mind is being hammered by the intensity of the trip - you don't have the luxury of sitting around casually thinking "oh, that's cool".
For unreal objects, you are more likely to see them in the corner of your eye, for example I write during my trips and sometimes I see things at the edge of my vision while I am focusing on the paper (I remember a girl sat on a shelf and some kind of animal-skin suit appearing during one trip - but move your head and they vanish!) Sometimes I also see stuff like a 1960s design matching tea-set on the desk where my mind is creating it out of a couple of ordinary mugs and some other random objects. There's something underlying the visual (a real object in that space) but its quite different to reality.
I find that a room will become more and more "tricksy" with apparent movement of the furniture at the sides of the room, "wording" (letters within surfaces) appearing in the walls, you start to look "through" the walls as though they have an internal depth, colours shift especially towards yellow or green (so you are tripping in a room with yellow walls which are actually white) and sometimes the angles of the wall and ceiling will reverse so that you are seeing an impossible geometry in the room, like a gap between the wall and the ceiling, sometimes because your brain starts to interpret shadow in the wrong way (you see a black surface as a shadow or vice versa).
Another thing that happens is the scale of things can change, so that parts of a room seem to recede away from you..... it can all get quite strange. For stuff appearing 'in your face' I've had a few trips where the patterns of the closed-eye-visuals just burst into 3D space in front of me, so that I was seeing a kind of 'forested' room of green shapes, with whirling movement in my peripheral vision that looked like dancers....
It's not normally like that but just occasionally the visuals can do something special, but if they do I start to think "fuck, this is going to be strong....."
Also the closed-eye-visuals (CEV) are not to be underestimated, they start off as patterns and random objects but they strengthen into 3D spaces and fantastic geometry and it starts to feel like you have entire dimensions in there. In many trips I lose interest in the real world and I'm sinking into the CEV, the whole trip builds into some crazy story based on things I'm seeing within the CEV, fractals, visions....
Your best chance of "aliens and other crazy shit" is in your CEV, sometimes you start to interpret the weird spaces and textures as something alien, like the inside of a spaceship, or you actually see strange creatures e.t.c
So yeah I do find that the visuals often behave in characteristic ways which usually involve the textures of real objects, some of the OEV are quite subtle, but there is some really interesting stuff that happens occasionally at higher doses (but not too high; if the trip is completely insane I rarely pay attention to the visuals).
That was a long answer but your report put me in a trippy mood...
