yes, unfortunately.
it's one thing for a social activity to include drinking, but for many, drinking is the social activity.
i recently met a 22 year young woman. drinking/drugs came up. she claimed she didn't drink much or often the first time we hung out. the second time we hang out she tells me a lot of evenings she enjoys hanging out at the bar(s) with her friends. while it isn't a requisite to drink alcohol at a bar, it is the norm.

Can demiu5 get PM's from me if he has me nigged? If not, can someone please quote this and fuck my username so he can see if? Brother, I really think we should be talking. Our opinions match so much, I really think we we could get a lot if we were communicating. Give me a second chance please.
Thanks in advance to anyone.

it doesn't revolve too much around alcohol, per se, but too much around dopamine, to the point where any sort of "high" is immediately weighed in terms of reward and the stronger that reward the more it outweighs all your other priorities.

Yeah, you should generally try to avoid being vague when talking about things..
Alright CT, my last post before bed. I'm sitting forwards, puffing on my tobacco pipe, and have dropped my joint. Just so you know you have my full attention after our last back n forth where you felt I was being vague. We were discussing spiritual matters then if you recall, but this I feel I can lay out, since you ask.
So ok, lets for a second imagine that there are a group of people, the extremely moneyed folks who basically control almost everything behind the scenecs. Let's also imagine that, as humans do, they always want more for themselves.
So, were such people in such a position, would it not make sense for them to have the general populous, in their time off from toiling at work, to be taking things which DULL the mind? Which avoid people from thinking 'hang on a minute, this system is fucking me..'
What opens ones mind to such ideas? Psychedelics. What closes ones mind off from such things? Alcohol, cocaine, and prescription drugs like benzos. Does it surprise you that the latter three are the MOST WIDELY USED IN THE WORLD?
I believe my point is clear, but just in case you would like additional clarity, I'll quote a man far wiser than myself:
There's a reason for this, there's a reason education sucks, and it's the same reason it will never ever ever be fixed. It's never going to get any better. Don't look for it. Be happy with what you've got... because the owners of this country don’t want that. I'm talking about the real owners now... the real owners. The big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions. Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls. They got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying. Lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want. They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests. That’s right.
They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fuckin’ years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it. And now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your fuckin' retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street. And you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you sooner or later 'cause they own this fuckin' place. It’s a big club and you ain't in it. You and I are not in the big club. ...The table is tilted, folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. ...And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that’s being jammed up their assholes every day, because the owners of this country know the truth. It’s called the American Dream, 'cause you have to be asleep to believe it. --George Carlin

Yes but I must admit, I am rather biased as I personally hate alcohol and most drunk people (excluding the nice drunks out there, some folks like my best bud and girlfriend both just get ridiculously caring and friendly when drunk. most people just get stupid and loud, two things I hate)

Thank you. I'm glad to see that you've learned to "spell out" (aka elaborate) on your ideas, instead of pushing out a tiny morsel, then acting like the rest of what you wanted to say should be telepathically obvious.
I'm sorry to see that you have a chip on your shoulder from the last thread...finish your tobacco and have a good night.

People dont really drink it's just pretendin
thats just tea in those shot glasses and everyone around you is laughing when you actually drink the alcohol, because it taste so bad
they only pretend to be drunk, because you are gullible, and watching you actually get drunk is a riot. now drive home safe, because we are all to drunk to drive for you

No chip brother, I'm just a straight talker. Hang around and see what I say long enough and you'll soon see it is not personal to you at all.
I do implore you however, to have a think on why you feel the way you do about the way our discussions have ensued. Perhaps it would help if you analysed some of my previous writings over the years:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/dosearch.php?where=body&tosearch=main&uid=264863
It just so happened the other day we reached an impasse. Such a thing is no sweat, it's just being human. If you like, I'll even call you next week so we can get it worked out. The community here is my love, and I wish for no animosity here whatsoever.
