This, its very common in my area and I know people who have died racing or just walking down the street and being hit
Very irresponsible

That's always fun
My record top speed is 22mph Usually run a mile around 7-8min Think I did 4 miles in about 30min
Unfortunately my top speed is hampered by a slow start, so I need a bit of distance, but a mile is too much to be competitive (7min is pretty average).

There are varying levels of being responsible with it. Obviously the most is a 'run what you brung' day at your local drag strip, but there are good roads out there for it too.
It's just not the same anymore now I'm on two wheels though. When I'm on the Fireblade:

The power to weight ratio is roughly 1000hp/ton, which is almost twice a Bugatti Veyron. Putting the power down without lifting the bike vertical is an art, but I've had Ferraris, Lambos, etc off the lights.
What's kinda nice about knowing you can do it, if you want to, is that when you see someone vying for it like that, you can just think 'yeah, I could, but I KNOW I'm gonna win, so why play your games?' I often let them think they've won and then whizz past later at speeds they could never match.
Maybe that's maturity speaking, or maybe it's years and years of having VERY fast vehicles, but that's generally my stance these days. I like going fast in my own time, in my own space, when I know I can be safe. I've even had a copper applaud me after chasing me at 150mph down the motorway cause I was doing it in a very safe spot... After letting me off with a slap on the wrist he pulled out his phone and started showing me pictures of HIS Fireblade.
Bear in mind (in UK at least) cops will fuck you 10x as hard doing that shit in a car as they will on a bike. I've been caught doing seriously silly shit on the bike and always had a slap on the wrist. When I was doing the same in cars, I racked up 19 points over the years and lost my license for a time. Since being a biker, my license has remained spot free.....

Thanks man, she certainly is. I'd recommend becoming a biker to anyone who likes a thrill in this life - it's one of the THE best things I've ever done in my life. This is how she looks now:

She literally blows my mind every time I ride her, which aint often - The Ducati is so much better suited for the city. The Fireblade breaks every speed limit in the country in 1st gear.... So it's become kinda pointelss off the track. Kinda shot myself in the foot modding her to pretty much BSB spec...

If you do it, please get a 2 stroke. The powerband, smell, and 'ring-ting-ting-ting' engine note is so passion isnpiring. A CR125/250 will blow you away on the dirt, I shit you not:

2 smokers are still legal man, and if you're gonna go say, 20/80 road/dirt, I would reallt recommend.
Only caveat is, you'll need to rebuild a smoker more often, so you need to be handy with a spanner. It's worth it, but I get it either way. This to me, would be my ideal 4 stroke (road legal):

Legendary relaiabilty (XR650R if you wanna read of their reputation - it's unparalled)
BUT, if money was not object, a CR500AF:

Seriously, I do not think it would be possible to have more fun on the roads in anyway, than to have that bike above. I should know, I've got one of the best supermotards as the legends go (but it's Swedish, and NOT A HONDA, so unreliable AF - Honestly, the cunting thing breaks every other time I ride it...):

Nie Bike Jokebeard, daaayum!
I do like me some dirt bikes, but ive falling off of them a couple times and it sucks. definitely sticking to dirt tracks is best. I am planning on getting a quad someday, much safer for my risky ass.
As for street racing, i guess its just me but i love driving fast. Im like Ricki Bobby from the movie Talledega Nights: a need for speed since being a small boy.
It can be super dangerous, for sure, i just cant see how random people would walk out in front of two cars racing
And i did lose to a chick driving a ford explorer, but it was obvious to me that she'd been practicing

Oh I get it LC, I was a racer for years. I built this fucker specifically to hack around here and eventually to tackle the Nurburgring:

And here, on 'The Green Hell':

I'm just saying, when you know you can beat then, why play their silly games? Rising above is the key here, but you gotta have the power first...

OP, you need better impulse control. You should be embarrassed by what you did, not bragging about it.

Come on Koods, you never been young and foolish???
I wouldn't go back to it, but those years are happy memories for me, and I never hurt anyone, or known anyone that hurt anyone else.

Yeah, some guys were racing and accidentally wiped out a half dozen people on the sidewalk around here. Drag racers and drunk drivers should be jailed for their first offenses. I have zero sympathy for people who put other people at risk like that.

Young and foolish is fine if you aren't doing it at the expense of others.
