Just planted those clones. They're looking good so far. One more I am letting root a bit more before throwing it in soil.

Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words! Feels good to finally have her really happy. Started off with one plant in 2014 and never have had any of them really thrive like this. Took a bit, but Id like to think I'm finally figuring it out. I have no experience with plants really, just fungi.

Ha yeah its kind of ghetto but it works.

Yeah last time I repotted it I thought I broke the main stem off at the base. Shes so tall and heavy its hard to repot. Kind of scared to do it again, plus that spot is really the only place I have to grow (I'm renting out a tiny ass room right now ). So I'm not sure what to do once she gets big enough to touch that shelf...

He he amonra I wish I knew more people wanting cuttings... My bush needs another trim.
Dourden, my plant is the same way... As the stems get longer they get thicker but at the base it's so skinny...
My bush is starting to get a "wooden" stem tho.

it will get better. is it in the shade most of the time? you could put him inside. IME with the weather here small plants tend to do better inside... but he looks good I have seen much much worse... also changing the environment too much/too often/too sudden might stun the plant for a while. looking good

Its behind the pillar on the back porch and there is a tub of soil next to it. Shade the majority of the day all day everyday. The good thing the sprouts have not gone brown. Whihc is what would worry me the most. Once that starts its pretty much downhill from there. Ill just keep it there and monitor.
Thanks Amonra

I was just going to say that I don;t see any leaves getting brown. I think it likes that spot...

Ferrel she's looking good bro. You might notice it as much because you see her everyday but every pic update from you I see improvement!! She's come a long way man.
Yooo I can even see trichomes on your plant ferrel!
Speaking of trichomes and the link that mostly_harmless provided about salvia trichome glands I had a thought.
So usually when growing cannabis it's theorized that leaving the plant in darkness 24-78 hours before harvesting will boost trichome production and maturity.
Now I'm reading about p. Viridis and it seems the alkaloid content is always higher right before it receives sun vs harvested mid day/afternoon.
Salvia plants that are shipping usually have trichomes... But it can't just be because it'd a cutting because I've done many cuttings and haven't seen any trichomes since my plant was just a clone.
Could it be that salvia produces more trichomes after periods of darkness akin to cannabis and p viridis?
Any speculations?

Trichomes contain terpenes, some of which are volatile or easily evaporated. It's thought these compounds build overnight to be 'released' the next day when the sun heats things up.
Seeing that the active compounds in Salvia Divinorum are terpenoid compounds, I would speculate that a period of dark and cool could maybe produce a bit more actives.
