Birth dunk and roll brother!! those ladies are ready to pop!

But be careful not to cover the pins in verm or damage them when handling. And when you roll in the verm, use your fingers to gently cover the area that isnt pinning.

Appreciate the fast replies and the advice!

Also, should I go ahead and birth this second jar? 1 week of full colonization will be in a day or two. It has more pins but not as big. Thanks in advance for the feedback!

If you see any baby shrooms then they are more than ready. You should try to birth them before they pin next time.

:whathesaid:

only thing I will add is according to RR the longer the consolidation period the better, he recommends 2 to 3 weeks.

Based on that recommendation I was waiting until i saw the little brown balls start and at that point i would dunk and roll. So i didnt really have a set amount of time i was waiting. I was just listening to my shroomies!!:mushroom2:

And only one inoculation point colonized so it took a while and one half of the jar is beyond ready while the other half is still consolidating... or so I'm guessing

yeah i had a couple jars only germinate in one spot, and it took forever. one good thing is though you know for sure the middle is colonized by the time it gets to the other side of the jar lol.

Yup, those pins are dying for fresh air.  You may not even need to dunk and roll the first flush, but you can if you want.  I wouldn't though with your current situation.

My opinion:  Fruit, harvest, then dunk and roll between the first and second flush.

Wow ok really. For the 2nd jar tho that should be a dunk and roll right? How about a 12hr dunk instead of 24hr? Haha idk

I am planning on birthing the one with the bigger baby mushrooms right away but dunking and rolling the other one. 50/50. Fuck up one?...hope the other works. This is assuming I can birth both of them without damaging the pins.

Thanks for the advice guys!

That might be okay.  A dunk anywhere over 10 hrs really should be okay.  When you take it out, as long as it's significantly heavier than when you put it in I'd say it's just fine.  Roll in some fine vermiculite and fruit that shit!

Always guys!  Loving the love here.  I'm no veteran though, but I've done plenty of jars and bags over the years, just trying to help.

Yeah, that's why you should birth as soon as it's consolidated.  If not chances are it'll pin and you could damage some of your first flush.
