Potency wise, absolutely. Yield wise, not so much. Regular PE has a much better yield, but APE is much faster. I haven't directly compared potency between the two, but once my friends tried the APE they didn't want anything else, and it's my favorite cube to eat as well. I like to make chocolates with 1.25 grams and they absolutely rock. Balls out open eye visuals off of one. As for the yields, the most I ever got out of a flush was an ounce dry, but I did some things wrong. I live in the desert and I've had lots of trouble with side pinning and the substrate drying out, so I'm hoping my new humidity controlled grow room will remedy that.

Well I am gonna be grabbin one of those syringes for sure! In the meantime I will work on getting a PE specimen out of this PE6 print. I like high level doses so I'm looking for something that will decrease the volume of mushies I need to ingest, and these sound perfect! Are you working them in full tubs or mini monos? I'm so jealous I want a grow room or at the very least a greenhouse. I hope you see better results with your room!

I use these 45qt tubs that have the same footprint as a 66qt but aren't as tall. I get them at Costco for 15 bucks a 3 pack. I have one more spawn bag, 4 more G2 masters, and 2 G1 masters that will each get expanded into 4 G2. So I'll be doing a lot more. I drop wedges into pints of millet, expand each original pint to 4-6 more, and use each 2nd generation pint to knock up a 6 quart spawn bag. If that's a little confusing, the bottom line is that I'll do at least 12 more of these APE tubs this month lol. These tubs have almost a 1:1 spawn ratio so I'm gonna be interested to see what they do besides fully colonize in 3 days. I've actually been house sitting for my mom and haven't had a chance to check on them for a couple days. I'm somewhat hopeful I'll come home to knots on the first tub that I spawned on the 2nd.

I like the idea of a larger tub but I'm limited on space so I'm working with the mini monos, but I want to go bigger!! Those tubs sound perfect since they aren so high. and you could fit more in a stack. Your approach is interesting and seems kinda unique. I'm just doin agar transfers then dropping the old plate. But I can definitey see that I will be progressing to the grain jar expansion method soon. I'll have to start planning it out in my head.
I actually have 5 KSSS rye jars that will be 100% tomorrow. I could do something with that. But I have five more plates colonized and five more colonizing. Ive been practicing my wedge transfers.
Good luck when you get home I hope you have a nice surprise!
So far 242.6 grams wet plus the secondary harvest to go still.

Nah no pins yet, but 2 more tubs are ready to case and the mix is pasteurizing right now. The first tub looks really good so I'm hopeful for the next 3. Hopefully I'll have pins by the end of the week but I know these tubs are home free because I've had so many go south over the years.
I started out in a 1 bedroom apartment with mini monos on my dresser, doing SAB work on my coffee table in the living room. That was a little over 2 years ago. Now I have a whole bedroom for a spawn lab and a separate, somewhat climate controlled grow room. I've moved twice, built a flowhood, read 2 Paul Stamets books cover to cover, and done a lot of other things that have shaped me as a cultivator in that time. It's been an uphill battle to say the least but all the hard work is starting to pay off.

Man I cannot wait to see what happens with those. I want those genetics, you have definitely peaked my interest! Surprisingly I have had a very little issues with contams(knock on wood) so far but I've done endless hours of reading, and started with a SAB. I was literally visiting this site for over ten years before I took the leap! The great thing is the community has really worked out all the bugs already. I just found a really reputable TC Pastywhyte and followed his TEKS to a T. You sound like you started out exactly as I am hahahaha. And I have visions in my head of a similar set up as you have now lol! After this morning I'm up to 404.6 grams on the first flush so far with more left in the tubs. I used less then 2 quarts of spawn and they were BRF cakes so I think I'm gonna end up having pretty good numbers given the circumstances.

Yeah pasty really knows his shit. I did my first ever mushroom grow in like 2003 when I was in high school and I lurked the shroomery way back then. That's the only time I ever fruited cakes. The results were sub par because shotgun terrariums weren't really a thing back then and I was too poor to build a poor man's pod, which was all the rage back then, so I fruited the cakes in a clear storage tote with no holes. Got tons of aerial myc and a few skinny shrooms with long stems.
When I started back up a couple years ago this guy frankhorrigan was writing tons of teks and I followed his stuff, but for my first grow I did slurried PF cakes in mini monos of bucket tek coir. Then I started talking to azur a lot and he convinced me to start using agar and horse manure and I haven't looked back. I actually started using millet because of pastywhyte, I haven't looked back from that either. For first and second generation spawn it's the best because the grains are so small. You get faster colonization from all the inoculation points. I use oats for my final generation of spawn because they're cheap, clean, and easy to prep.
I'm about to spawn the fifth APE tub, and I was thinking of doing a massive swab giveaway once the first tub finished up, because I think everyone should try growing APE, so stay tuned for that. I'll make a thread in the marketplace once it's all ready.

Ok quick question...
When you say first, second, and final generation are you referring to the "generation"as spawn created from cloning a fruit off a grow or does "generation" refer to the transferred agar wedge?
I haven't seen that Pasty is a proponent of millet, I will check that out. But yeah I know of Frank I use his bucket tek for coir.
And Fuck yeah brother! I want one of them swabs! I don't know if ilk have access to marketplace by then though lol!

I think you'll have access on the 21st of this month if you registered on June 21st. Pretty sure you just need to be registered for 90 days and have 100 posts.
Yeah for spawn generations, the G value is for keeping track of g2g transfers, with G standing for generation. G1 is the jar that you drop the agar wedge into, G2 are the jars you g2g the original jar into, and G3 would be the next round of g2g. There's a separate P value that Stamets came up with for culture growth. Each P value (I'm guessing P stands for Paul) is the growth over a 100mm petri dish, starting with P0. So P0 would be the plate that you put your spores on, P1 would be the plate that you transfer a section from the MS plate to, and so on.
Those are just nice systems for keeping track of the cultivation process and how much you've grown out or expanded a certain culture.
