PE6 mini monos...**Harvest Time**

Mini mono tub 1...
Mini mono tub 2...

**UPDATE Day 10** Mini momo tub1...

Mini mono tub 2...
I want to do a casing on these bad boys. Knowing how thirsty PE can be, I want to be able to give them that extra bit of moisture.
Do you think it is time to case? Or should i wait a couple more days?

Mini monos are fun. They colonize a lot faster it seems and sometimes produce massive flushes. Just gotta sometimes replenish the water when mushies grow because they are small.

I always use a casing layer, even if it's just a thin layer of verm. So yes, casing it will definitely help but still keep an eye on it when your mushies begin to fruit. Chances are with a water gobbling strain like PE, you will still need to replenish water in the sub.
Sometimes what you can do is take a syringe and shoot water down the sides of the sub a couple CCs at a time every few inches around the entire perimeter of the chamber. As long as the sub is sopping up the water and it doesn't stand at the edges, this is fine, but don't do this if your sub is already properly hydrated obviously.
You can always mist too if needed, but again, not until you an see the sub is not properly hydrated.

Also one other thing, try not to spawn bulk with brf cakes. The Myc does not like it at all. Use grains and then spawn that to bulk instead. Use rye or even oats. Inocuole has a great tek for whole oats you could use to spawn to bulk. Going to try this myself actually, and the prep is super easy.

Yeah I know BRF sucks to spawn with, but I didn't know that PE doesn't do well on cakes. SO this was just an option I tried to improve my yield, it may or may not work, but one thing is for sure I learned a lot doing it, So i won either way.
I have one PE cake fruiting in my SGFC and its fruiting but very small nothing like what you want to see from some PE. I think the tubs will do better then this cake is that's for sure!
I literally just dropped five plates of KSSS into jars of Rye. I hope all goes well. It certainly wasn't the smoothest session, but it was my first grain session so I can only get better and I have bunch of grain and more plates going.

HAHAHA i feel your pain man. I was cursin up a storm cause I couldnt get the agar to slide out of the dish into the jar. I had to spear each piece and drop it in.
I really struggled with the lids I couldnt hold the container with the lid and pour into the grain jar without exposing the entire top of the jar...WTF

if your using drilled mason lids(not plastic/sfd) i like to unscrew and remove the uhh screw part leaving the lid still on the jar. so when ready you just open and drop. for g2g i just use a 'sterile' plastic funnel.

no. before i put in my SAB i remove the ring. and GENTLY place the receiving jars in the SAB with the lid part still on and pile in the lose rings. after doing the usual SAB steps and when ready i just crack n add me grains/agar wedge and cover as normal with rings from the pile i added.

Hey guys, I noticed some hyphal knot activity and one very small white pin on top of the substrates this morning.
Does this mean it's ready for the casing layer? Or have I missed my opportunity to case these tubs?

11 days and pins are popping. As advised I will skip the casing layer as I missed my window to inexperience. Shouldn't be long until I have some pin porn!!
