In my never ending hunt to find philosopher stones I ran across a variety of cool new (to me as I haven't seen before) mushrooms! I will use #1,2,3,4,5,6 it is easily possible a couple could be the same species but just younger. Now pictures before the information to relate to my descriptions below...
Top=#1 Right=#2 Bottom=#3
Top=4 Left=5. Bottom=6
Left=1 Middle=3. Right=2
Left=4. Right=5
#6
Top=4. Bottom=5
 Left=1 Middle=3. Right=2
Habitat: All 6 picked directly from cow dung, in pasture, just north of Miami, Florida...only trees close are palm trees
Gills: All were attached to stem with 5 oddly almost continuing down to become the stem...dark colored gills, with the exception of #5 still separated gills but as you can see they are white with maybe a hint of yellow I would say white though.
Stem: 1,3,6 had thin, hallow, stems smooth, 1 and 3 were white 6 was as dark as the cap itself. 2, 4, 5 had thicker more solid feeling stems but all white. 5 was smooth. 2 and 4 were what I would call bumpy (not as in bumps all over but as in i would almost say twisted?) 2 was definitely twisted and 4 may have been on its way to twisting but it being so much younger i assume maybe it hadn't gotten to that point yet. Or they may be totally different species idk!
Cap: 2, 4, 5 all had I guess umbilicate caps as their edge didn't come down past where the stem ended. Maybe you would call it just flat but as you can see 4 was kinda nippled. 1,3,6 all definitely convex with #1 maybe even considered conical! All had smooth caps none real massive in proportion to the rest of their bodies. 6 was brown as was the rest of its body while 1-5 had white or shade of grey tones. #1 had more of a golden or yellow shade to its conical cap. 4 was almost greenish blue but I have a feeling that was due to bruising because it's brothers and sisters were a more solid state of white.
Spore print color: All dark black or purplish black except the oddball in the bunch...as you actually can't see #5 it is just barely barely a shade of pink. 1,2,3,4,6 thought all dark dark purple to black.
Bruising: 1,2,3,4 all bruise blue. 6 bruised a more blackish color but it being such a dark body blue woulda been hard to see. #5 tricked me, I thought it had bruised blue as you can see in the picture but upon trying to force it to bruise in other places it didn't so I'm going to assume the coloration was from dropped spores of other mushrooms while being brought in. So #5 no bruising!
Other information: Scent of the mushrooms were especially earthy! I wouldn't know any other way to describe it. The only one that may have been different was #5 but it was a sole loner in a group of pans cyans and whatever else these guys turn out to be so it was definitely overpowered by the others.

Number three might be a panaeolus cyanescens

Ye I was afraid 3 and 6 might still be pans cyans but I'm hoping because they were oh so very slightly thinner and taller than most pans cyans I find...really hoping its something I'm totally unfamiliar with like a liberty cap or possibly a pans trop

For the questionable muhsies, grab a black sharpie (or other permanent marker so long as it is black) and draw a streak next to their spore prints.
If the spore print matches the marker streak, there is more supporting evidence. If not, you know it is unlikely they are panaeolus cyanescens.
Also, some nice mushies in that pic there.

Notice my early message. I'm hunting philosopher stones. I can pick blues all day long if i want. But part of the reason i hunt is to explore what I can find. Become familiar with things I am unfamiliar with. Knowledge is power and I'm looking to gain knowledge

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psilocybe_tampanensis
Wikipedia has only two counts of psilocybin tampanensis found in the wild ever. Mexicanas are similar and I live in a slightly wooded sandy soiled meadowlands like where these two where found. I just so happen to enjoy other mushrooms and pick them daily so I might as well look for an extremely rare form right?

You might have to let us know how this turns out. I suspect you may be the single entity that's willing to put the energy into this task that would be required.

Honestly no. I would rather throw out something I'm unsure of than concern myself with the possible negative results. I am not desperate, simply curious to learn!!! Knowledge is power and in this case I just want the knowledge to know what I see in the future. Thank you though and I understand not everyone has that same luxury but I honestly feel like this hobby gives me something physically productive to do while also being in touch with nature...good luck to you in your hunts!
